Dee Gordon blows

Ok I have been hopeful that Dee Gordon would improve but 3 errors tonight? He is still awful defensively but I could overlook that if his on base percentage wasnt terrible. If he cannot get on base then his speed is useless and Im just running out of room to cut him any slack. What do you guys think about Dee Gordon?

He has an amazing skill set and the potential to be the next Juan Pierre is there. The odd thing about him tonight was that he was making hard plays look routine and routine plays look hard. I think he could be a great leadoff man one day but our new Cuban infielder Alexander Guerrero is said to also have more of a weak arm, and is looking to learn 2nd. I just don't see a place for Gordon on this team right now, he'd be a good trade chip.

The talent is there OutlawImmortal but I just dont see any improvement from Dee Gordon. I just dont know how many more chances we can afford to give him.

He just can't play SS, he was playing second at Albuquerque and that's where he needs to stick

I would be ok if he was moved to playing second after this year if we keep him. He is terrible at Shortstop though

Dee Gordon has great speed.......probably the fastest guy in Baseball. Gordon is simply not major league ready. He needs another couple of years at AAA. I wouldn't miss him if he was traded. One of these days he is going to cost the Dodgers an important game.

I have been saying send him back down and he will get better but he hasnt. I think it is time to cut ties with him and throw him in a trade or move him to second base next year.

I don't know what to think of the guy, the talent is there, he's just so inconsistent, do you stay patient or go on to the next prospect if there is one, I personally don't think we'd miss him if he was traded or dismissed again to triple A

I think Gordon would be pretty good with more playing time for a lower tier type team. But not for a championship type team like the Dodgers this season. Can't make 3 errors like that and be on a high profile team.

This is pure speculation, but I look at Dee Gordon and I wonder if he has focus and a true desire to succeed. I believe he lacks self-confidence.

As to why I don't like him as a player, in addition to the above, he has a very low batting avg., on base percentage, and is horrible defensively. The only good part about his game is his speed. He would make a great pinch runner in September.

on balls not hit all that well an incredible percentage of the time.

I will admit to having a pro-Boston bias, but in a 100-yard-dash Ells would be my pick
against any other MLB player.

A quick internet search told me that Jacoby has been clocked on the 60-yard dash at 6.55 seconds compared to Dee Gordon's 6.35.
