I was POSITIVE at the trading deadline we were going to get Vanek. Then when announced Gaborik I was like "NO, not second rate now!" I heard Deano and Sutter talking about how they have had their eye on Gaborik for a while, that he is the kind of smart disciplined player they desire, he's the one they really wanted.etc. etc. And I was thinking in the old Kings mentality "yeah you're just saying that because you couldn't get who you really wanted..."
DAMN if Lombardi didn't pull off another genius bonanza!!! Dean you are so THE MAN!!
Thank you for the joy of being a model franchise and erasing all the pain and bullshit losing culture.
