Also Roberto Gomez, Steven Okert, Chase Johnson and Tyler Herb are all on the MiLB DL. That leaves Tyler Beede and Derek Law as the only pitchers available on the 40-man.... that is unless they want to call up Ray Black

Also, Cal you're slacking. Will Smill is still listed on the DL

I knew about Johnson and Okert but didn't realize Herb and Gomez are sidelined now as well. Not a lot of options available.

Cueto avoids TJ but out 6 to 8 weeks
this was the best news of a great sports weekend.

by June we should have a rotation of: Bum/JC/Strat/Shark/Blach.
Bullpen: Melancon/Strick/Watson/Smith/Dyson/Gearrin/Holland

Pennce’s thumb flared up. His rehab has been halted. No timeline for a return at this point.

I am sure his 6-27 with no XBH had nothing to do with it.

Love ya, Hunter. But we gots to move on. Use one of those million dolllar checks to wipe the tears from your cheeks.

strained UCL. Not torn.

We dodged a bullet there.
Could that potentially be worse? I have often heard that sprained ankles are often worse than broken ankles because they just don’t heal right. Any similarity with UCLs?

Not from what I've read. All sprained ligaments are "torn" a torn ligament is actually separated from the bone, whereas a "sprain" is not. So no, sprains are not worse than tears.

That seems WAY too convenient.

I heard a clip from Schulman before the game that there actually is a slight tear. But Andrews thought rest was the best plan FOR NOW. TJ has not by any means been ruled out.

What a gamble. If rest works, then it was worth it and he comes back "quickly" and contributes. If rest doesn't work, THEN he goes under the knife and is gone for a year AFTER the 6 to 8 weeks are over. Oy!

But the team is all in THIS year. Who knows about next year.

I am ok with that (at this point).

Not trying to argue against it, just stating that it is quite the risk if the result doesn't go as expected.
Absolutely.

But if you are all in this year, and don’t really care about next year, this is CLEARLY the proper move.
