• The Giants placed right-hander Julian Fernandez on the disabled list with a sprained UCL. Fernandez, the Rule 5 draftee from the Colorado organization, had 12 strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings spanning eight Cactus League appearances, reflecting his impressive stuff. He also allowed opponents to bat .303 against him and owned a 13.50 ERA, suggesting that he's still learning how to pitch.

Interesting. Both mlb.com and espn.com are reporting that the Giants released Jarrett Parker yesterday. However, I cannot confirm this anywhere else. It may be that MLB is reporting something incorrectly, again, on their transactions and ESPN simply copied it.

MLBTR has him still in limbo, and he doesn’t clear until Sunday.

Updated with what appears to be the final roster. I still have Blanco listed as an NRI until I hear his official add and the corresponding move.
