Locke-Box finally managed to pull his head out of his ass and pitched pretty well tonight. I don't really know how much more useful he'll be this year, or what his postseason role might be, but I just hope he can regain some confidence for next year.

Its only his first full season, no reason to think he cant get better. He did get lucky in the first half though.

Locke pitched better than his numbers last time out, and today he was actually getting the inside strike call. When he gets that, he generally pitches well.

But a good win again to keep the train rolling.

ROOT sports just interviewed Ken Dryden, who is sitting behind the dugout tonight at the game. He had some real nice things to say about what the Bucs are doing this year. Really good, short interview with him. With hockey season right around the corner, it is nice to know that Pirates baseball will have some more relevancy this year.

However, if he can't get his velocity back to where it was and should be, than Hurdle can't be using him in one run games, with the outcome in doubt.
