I agree. A steady bat who plays a good defensive first base is one of our needs going into next season. Morneau is just that.

Shame about Liriano. No hitter into the 7th and then gives up a hit and the game-tying homer. Left with a no-decision. He deserved that win. Maybe should have been pulled after giving up the first hit. He was already near the pitch count and was laboring in his spot selection, walking batters late in the 6th.
I agree on the comments on Grilli. Mad respect and gratitude for what he did for us last year and this year, but until he gets back to his pre-injury self (if he ever does), he needs to stay out of close game situations. That again is totally on the coach.
