Our schools here are on Spring Break. My two sons had middle school basketball practice this morning. As I'm watching practice, a really nice older woman walked in. I had never seen her before. There was about 15 parents scattered all over the bleachers. For some reason she chose to sit down beside me. She immediately said she had a grandson out there playing. I could tell by her accent she wasn't from around our area. She said she had come into town for a week to see her daughter. I asked her where she was from. She said Pennsylvania. I was like oh well that's neat. As we kept talking, I noticed she wasn't just the ordinary grandma. This woman new sports. She asked me if I was a big TitAn fan. I said no maim, I'm a Cowboy fan. She said oh. I think she could have told every Steeler fact there was if I asked. She then said that she use to despise the Cowboys. I said well as a fan , I have never really cared for the Steelers either. She then said the Cowboys were her 2nd favorite team. I said why. She said because of Sean. It didn't hit me right off the bat. I actually first thought Sean Payton. She then said that Sean Lees grandparents live next door to her. She said he was the nicest little boy growing up. Supposedly it broke Steeler nations heart when they passed on him in the draft. She said the guy they picked never really played. She said she has only seen him three times in the last few yrs but every time he made a point to stop in and see her. Small world.
