Milehighreport.com is projecting that Denver will receive two thirds (Oz and Malik), a fifth for Travathan, and a seventh for Harris in next year's draft.

While our team loses some very good players yearly, these picks help us reload. It's a great situation to be in!

And above all else the best thing is that next year all of those picks are tradable. So if true that we get all those picks we are looking at having 12 picks in the upcoming draft.

1 1st round pick
1 2nd round pick
3 3rd round picks
1 4th round pick
2 5th round picks
2 6th round picks
2 7th round picks

For those who keep saying the Broncos are in a terrible situation cap wise because of how much they will have to pay Von Miller they haven't looked at the fact that the Broncos are signing more rookies than any team but the Browns over a 2-year period. Throw in now most likely having a rookie contract at the QB position leading the way.

I think it's 10. We owe SF a pick in the Davis deal and we owe the Eagles in the Sanchez trade.

You are right. Forgot that the Davis deal included a 2017 pick and forgot about Sanchez. Well still 10 picks with 5 of those in the 1st 3 rounds of the draft looks real nice.

Looking at that chart and at couple other teams. KC also does well with a3rd, a 4th and two 6ths. Patriots, for a change don't get any. Unusual to see Cleveland w a 3rd and 4th.

Yeah it is nice to see NE not get in on the Comp Picks. Seems like that has been a huge part of how they can retool every single season in having those extra 3-4 picks a year.

Also I will say with KC the last couple of years having quite a few comp picks like us it should just show the talent that has been in the AFC West. Not like we have had this cake walk division in our 5 year streak.

I'm also thinking at some point they might have to change what the cut off at least money wise is for 3rd round picks. Seems like with the Cap going up they would have their number go up as well of what it takes to get that 3rd round pick. 7 3rd round comp picks just seems ridiculous. Usually they keep it in that 3-4 picks only range.

I'm still hoping that Trevathan can be boosted up to a round 4 comp pick... he is the first comp pick of round 5 so there is hope that one of the guys above him doesn't meet the play time qualification and he nets us a 4th. not likely but possible

Don't believe we will have 2 6ths or 2 7ths. One 6 went to 49ers in the San Fran trade, a 7th is a conditional pick for sanchez and I am assuming he makes our roster sending our 7th to philly.

You are correct. Completely forgot that the trades also went into this year not just this last draft. I will say that the Vernon Davis trade now looks like maybe one of the worst moves Elway has made in the past 5 years. Not bad when one of your worst moves only cost you 2 6th round picks.

I don't deem that one too bad though in the sense of it was a very late 4th round pick for a high 5th round pick. So we didn't really lose much in the deal. Yes not a great move by any means but at least Elway's moves so far haven't cost us a high pick. All of our 1st round picks have contributed so can't say we wasted a 1st round pick so far in Elway's career. 2nd round is where you can maybe say drafting Ball was maybe Elway's worst move.

Contract wise maybe you can point to signing Clady to a long-term deal but to me you can't really put that too much on Elway as you can't know when injuries are going to hit like they did. Clady when we signed him was a good deal for the caliber of player that he was.

Gradkowski and Davis. Elway doesn't do so well in these minor deals. That said, I like the Sanchez trade. We got a hard-nosed player for basically nothing.

Nooooooooo! The draft is fun but the season is spectacular!! I'm looking forward to smiling every time the defending Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos take the field! There will be plenty of time to talk about the 32nd pick in the draft next year.

The Vernon Davis trade was a reasonable trade for a team need. It didn't pan out. That is different from a front office move everyone knows from the git go isn't going to work - like the Quinn draft pick.

Geez! Three picks in the third round? All tradable? That's awesome. That's some serious draft capital and if there is a position group in need of a youth movement the team can load up through the draft or they can trade appropriately.
