Thought I had you beat, but maybe not. In our defense, 2 of the top point producers (Parssinen and Tomasino) are in the AHL currently.

Evangelista alone makes the Preds better at younger talent. :D
Totally forgot about Cody Glass.....He is essentially the "hey at least I am not Nolan Patrick" of that 2017 draft.

Was there ever a bigger nothingburger then Ryan Ellis to the Flyers for Nolan Patrick (and PhilippeMyers) who then got sent to Vegas for Glass?

I mean, NHL calibre players who did basically zero for their new teams?

LOL...so true. Seems Ellis was more production in 5 games vs anyone else.

Speaking of nothingburgers..... The 2017 draft, I feel it is far enough gone that anyone you picked could have made it to the NHL by now for any team.

Curiosity got me and using the 2017 as the most recent and going back to 1970.
Here are the only other examples outside that 2017 Penguins draft.

Capitals 2017
Canadians 2008
Canucks 2007
Coyotes 2003
Oilers 1990

And yes two teams had a whole draft where combined the whole draft class played 1 game.

2010 Canucks
2008 Penguins

For once ESPN wasn't completely wrong:

Pittsburgh Penguins: D

Organizational assessment: I really don't see much materializing from this Penguins draft class. Clayton Phillips has promise, so I have time for him, but a lot of the players they picked don't move the needle for me, with a pick like Zachary Lauzon at 51 being puzzling given his skill set.

First-round pick: N/A

Notable Day 2 picks: I don't see Zach Lauzon as having much offensive upside. He competes and is physical, but I don't see real NHL skills in his game. Phillips' talent level stood out to me when I saw him play. He's a very good skater, with decent hands and quality vision moving the puck. He's small, and while he can make stops due to his feet closing gaps, he needs time to round out his game so he has the puck more often.

2017 Draft Class: Pittsburgh Penguins

Yep this is exactly like watching Pittsburgh sports in recent years.

Peaked years ago, too much meth and now just old and painful.

You could take away all of Wayne's 894 goals and he still leads in most points as a result of 1963 assists.

Tyler Myers and Puljujarvi’s penalties were both because they just happen to be a lot larger than the players they committed the penalty against.
