If he didn't score another goal this season and then his scoring rate for the duration of his 4 year extension plummets down to 25 goals/yr he'll still pass Sundin for the Leafs goalscoring record in year 3 of that contract lol.

The Leafs, simply put, have never had anybody as talented at goalscoring as him and if he keeps it up he may very well pass Gretzky/Ovechkin. None of it means much to me because he's simply never taken over a playoff series the way the best players in the game's history have but given that few in Leafs history have done so doesn't leave much competition IMO.
