And that Busch series race last night had a delayed start due to rain as well. If it wasn't raining, you wouldn't be crying. Man can't control the weather. Tonight made more sense with the 4th of July being on Saturday. The weather just didn't cooperate. No need to bitch and moan about it.

Everyone been complaining about this nonsense long before tonight. Even Drivers were complaining about the move during the middle of the week.

Anyone with any kind of a social life should appreciate the race being moved to a Sunday night rather than right in the middle of 4th of July festivities. But instead, people are naturally inclined to look for reasons to bitch. Really makes no sense to me.

If you're going to run it Sunday just make it a 12 PM race. Running Sunday night with work the following day is really really stupid

They were gonna start it at 8.

I guess ESPN Sunday night baseball, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night football are really, really stupid as well.

Yeah because football games get postponed by rain right?

And baseball nobody cares if it gets postponed because teams play basically everyday.

When you schedule a race, you don't schedule with a mindset of "what if it rains".

And football games are effected by lightning and severe weather and transformer explosions.

Just admit it dude. You're grasping and looking for reasons to bitch.

How often did a NFL Sunday Night or Monday night game get postponed in the last 20 years? Good luck

San Francisco a couple years ago when the transformer exploded and the stadium lost power.

Like I said dude, you'd be a lot happier if you didn't look for reasons to bitch.

So you found 1 delay? BTW that delayed the game for a whopping 35 minutes. By the time the race starts it will be 3+ hours after the schedule start time and mostly everyone in the EST and CST will be sleeping like a baby

Like I said, you don't schedule a race thinking about rain.

Would have been perfect start time had the weather cooperated, but you can't stop mother nature.

And this is exactly why running race Sunday nights (unless there is a Holiday on Monday) is stupid. One slight delay and your ratings go down the drain. There isn't one good reason to run a race on a Sunday Night unless Memorial Day or Labor Day is the following day

Let's see here.

The July race at Daytona running at night is a tradition. Everyone with a life was celebrating the 4th of July last night. Sunday night made sense. It just happened to rain.

Get over it and quit bitching.

in 2009, the last time the race landed on the actual holiday of 4th, 5.3 million viewers watched

in 2013, the last time the race was ran on its scheduled date, 5.7 million viewers watched

its NASCAR in primetime regardless, fans will watch no matter what for most part. The whole, well no one will watch cuz its on the holiday just doesn't hold much water.

last year when it was postponed and ran on the 6th, 4 million viewers watched. You could argue that a postponed race actually would lead to less ratings than a race held on the actual holiday

Is this the first time ever fourth of July fell on Saturday? Yes or no?

NASCAR fails at everything, yet they're a billion dollar company. Go figure.

They ain't racing tonight. There's a 100% chance of rain until midnight. They'll race tomorrow at prime time.

and that's not going to happen either, this isn't the Daytona 500. If it does wash out as expected, it will be run around 11am-12 tomorrow

Bingo. The guy is a fucking idiot. They never had any issues running the race before whenever the 4th fell on a Saturday but all of sudden this year it is the biggest issue ever

Yep Junior pretty much confirmed that in his interview a few minutes ago on NBC as he said the race will be ran tomorrow during the day if they can't get it in tonight.

Nascar dropped the ball on this. Simple as that
