I keep seeing metcalf round 1 and I really hate that pick

I don’t want to draft a WR until mid or later rounds. Load up on offensive and defensive linemen

I agree 100%. Tempting to not take a freakish athlete but not in the 1st. They need to bolster the DL and an interior lineman is a good fit. Some mocks have them grabbing an OT for more depth. I still say go DL

Browns needs:

DT
Edge rusher
WR
OT
LB (possibly but honestly think they are good with Avery, Schobert and Kirksey)

Any predictions on their draft and FA pickups?
I'm hoping top D-lineman at 17. I might put LB ahead of OT for now. I think baker was only hit 9 times the last 8 games. That's amazing.

He's not even the WR I'd want from his own school. I think Brown winds up being a beast, honestly. However I think Metcalf winds up being a slightly more productive Cordarelle Patterson.
I cannot see Dorsey using a high pick on a workout warrior over a more productive player on the field.

A couple picks I would thrilled with, doubt most of these guys last but...

Rashan Gary (projected top 10)
Christian Wilkins
Clelin Ferrell
Ed Oliver - the most realistic pick and I think he can be great next to Larry

Tough for me to guess as I'm one of the few who will admit I don't have the first clue (especially with QBs). Hard to know when I saw most of these guys play maybe a few games and never saw any film.

From what we hear those sound like solid picks, though, or white from LSU or the DE who ran the sub 5 40 whose name escapes me.

Gary does absolutely nothing for me. I'd easily take the other 3 over him on your list. 10.5 sacks in almost 3 years isn't impressive. I'd much, much rather have Wilkins and keep Ogbah than take Gary.

Depends on scheme. Is it a scheme where his position is expected to get sacks? Did he open things up so others could? I remember hearing mostly bad things about Peppers and one was he had almost no picks.

Well they have Gary listed as DE but if he were to play DT he could be explosive from that position. They need a guy that can do everything I don't know I love Ed Oliver, might be in the minority but that's who I want.

I don't disagree one bit. Can't say I have a preference, but Oliver sounds good if they like him.

michigan had 34 sacks this year, and only 3.5 of them came from Gary. If I'm drafting a DE in the top 10, he'd better have accounted for over 10% of his team's sacks in his final year. For reference, OSU finished 9th in the nation in sacks this year, and 10% of those came from Nick Bosa, but he didn't even play 3 full games.

As an OSU fan, we're familiar with a DE who looked like a monster in workouts only to flame out in the NFL - Vernon Gholston. Gary is a phenomenal athlete, no doubt. However, he isn't an NFL DE. If he moved back to tackle, it could help, but I'm not rolling the dice on him top 10 when there are so many elite level defensive linemen to choose from.

If Oliver slipped that would be nice. But I'm thinking probably not. Dremont perhaps

Haven't heard much about Dremont recently, I think it might be slipping. I think they could get Oliver at 17...I'm hoping. I just don't think any of the other guys I listed are lasting but it all depends on who they get in FA as well.

Seems many are coming out and saying there is something big coming, but no one will say what it is.

As I said, and I know it's a copout I'll admit I don't have the first clue without looking at even a second of game film.

I'm sure if ESPN wanted us to believe a guy like sam Hubbard should go top 10 (or Jones this year) they could do it.

Guess would be OBJ
Annoying. If you can't say what it is, why even bother.

I'll tell you why....because no matter what happens they will say they knew.

I should play, too. I have excellent sources that tell me some big moves are in the works.

Yeah it's like they want hits on their twitter or whatever but they know the jist of it. That's why I never buy into it and just wait. If something happens it happens but I have heard the last couple days something is in the works and that is from Browns players as well. Take that as it is lol
