Just saw on Sharksahl.com that the Versus channel will be showing a 10min special on Cheechoo, tomorrow night. Anybody know how long his try out lasts? I was just wondering, cuz he is leading the team in scoring.

Everyone on that team is a minus, i'm guessing he is eating up a lot of ice time in all situations so it reflects in the +/-

His PTO lasts for 25 games. At that point the Sharks can either sign him to an NHL SPC, AHL SPC, another 25 game PTO, or release him. After his 2nd PTO the Sharks must either release him or sign him to a SPC. They cannot sign him to a 3rd PTO.

I'm kind of surprised no one has taken a chance on him so far. I hope the Sharks at the very least keep him in the organization and it would be cool if they gave him a chance at the NHL level.

He is much worse than anyone on the bottom six. I have heard from several places that the biggest difference between the NHL and the AHL is the speed the game is played at. If you can't skate you will not be able to get into position to score (or play defense).

I like the guy and I would love to see him make an NHL comeback but if he is on the Sharks then we are in trouble.

I still think he's worth a shot, a 2 way contract at league min in the bigs and next to nothing in the minors wont hurt the team... Common they gave Lemieux a chance at 57 years old haha
