Can someone sum up how they plan to do the CFP?

Not sure why everyone's debating this. I've already claimed the national title for Clemson since we banned the Pac-12, BIG, and SEC from the playoffs since they cancelled OOC games. Oklahoma had a strong #2, even if they hypothetically got beat down in the hypothetical 2020 playoffs in my head again.

Yet the PAC is the ones not playing OOC as well as the B1G, so ill choose the 3 champs from conferences who are and 1 at large for a G5 team, the other two conferences can play each other for participation trophies.

Sec not playing ooc. Meaning unless acc and big xii are playing eachother you think because they play charlotte or tulsa they should be in over a 10-0 pac big 10 or sec champ?

With leagues starting at all sorts of different times, and with everyone going with conference only scheduling, how are they going to decide the 4 team playoff? When is it going to be held?

My guess is you'll have to award the conference winner a spot, So one conference's champ is obviously going to have to be left off. Let's just make that the Big12.

But when will they be held?

It appears the whole Pac 12 conference is going to opt out of this season because their list of demands most likely will not be met so that opens up a spot

They could use the archaic bowl system they had before the BCS and CFP. That way undefeated Ohio St (for example) could win the Rose Bowl, unbeaten Alabama (for example) could win the Sugar Bowl, and undefeated Boise St (for example) could win......the Potato Bowl and all claim to be #1. In all honesty, I suspect that will happen this year. I don't think they will do a postseason this year if football even happens (I hope it does, but the baseball situation makes me question it). I'd imagine any undefeated conference champs will claim titles this year (or a 2 loss Bama, you know how they are), unless there's a gentleman's agreement to make the season a mulligan.

There's a SI article that talks about the P5 conferences looking to have it's own championships for this fall outside the NCAA.

We all know it's not safe but money will dictate this season coming to fruition and it will make sure we have a CFP in January.
