Im just glad we are getting out of Turner Field after this year. It's in the hood and its always so dark for some reason.

.500 might be hard to get to, but I think we'll be better than last season record wise. We were in the mix until Grill got hurt and they gutted the rest of our pen and Freeman's wrist got hurt at the same time.

My personal goal is to finish with less than 90 losses.

Ive heard Albies and Smith have been killing it so far this Spring. Any chance they make the Opening Day roster?? I hope not because I do t want them here before they are surely ready.

Albies has virtually no chance. If we can find a trading partner for Michael Bourn, Mallex Smith could make the team, but we'll likely see Smith with the big club at some point this season if he doesn't make the opening day roster. They'll probably hold off on Albies until next year.

Agreed. I noticed Wood is having forearm tightness. That is usually not good...

He's a UGA alum, so regardless of where he is pitching, I wish him the best, so hopefully it's nothing.

But Peraza dropped pretty significantly in the prospect rankings and the Dodgers sent him off to Cincinnati, and Jim Johnson is back in out BP, so maybe this move will turn out to not be near as bad as I thought when it first happened.

Indeed. The Braves (apparently) weren't as high on Peraza as we thought previously when they dealt him. Now with Alcides (looking great) and Swanson coming, Peraza being gone seems fine by me.

I always liked Wood, but I understand his mechanics were a cause of concern for the Braves. Hopefully a few of these young arms pan out for us and we won't miss Alex either.

Albies and Swanson could be out double play combo of the future. Albies is only 19 and Swanson only has like 81 professional at bats, so it'll likely be September at the earliest before we see them, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Markakis traded to make room for Mallex Smith. We'll definitely see him on the big club at some point this season.

Yeah, hopefully Wisler can build on his strong stretch run and a few of the other prospects pan out.
