By my count, this puts payroll at $151.5MM heading into ST. Includes $7MM for Zeets. Could change a little depending upon who the last two relievers are (I estimated $1MM for those two) and who the last two position players are (Abreu is 0.7MM and JCP is 0.5), but that number will be pretty close.
Would there be anything sweeter than the Giants spending $125 million less than the Dodgers and still winning the division (other than a World Championship a month later)?
I think Belt, barring injury, will have an even more breakout year in 2014. Like 24 HR / 95 RBI / .300 avg / .880 OPS.
Together, Belt/Posey/Pence/Panda just might hit 100 HR with close to 400 RBI.
Crawford will surprise as well - 14 / 60 / .260 / .740.
If we can stay healthy, there will be a synergy to our hitting that we have not seen for a long time over the course of a season.
It will be our hitting that will get us into the playoffs.
