For you Last of the Mohicans fans who also enjoy HBO's Game of Thrones... it was nice to see actress Jodhi May portraying witch/seer Maggy the Frog in the first episode of Season 5 of GoT a few weeks ago.

I thought she would have appeared in more big films over the years, but most of her work has been smaller stuff in Britain.

Well you won't find many all time great top 10, or 20 at the very least, critics lists that don't include Lawrence of Arabia. Tbh, it's been a very long time since I watched it, so I couldn't go with it.

Last of the Mohicans was just one of my favorites ever. Great story, action, stirring soundtrack, great villain, Madeline Stow was at her hottest...

Lawrence of Arabia is truly one of the greatest films of all time


But the Lord of the Rings was a unique accomplishment in moviemaking. so wtf.

The first LOTR was fantastic. I loved it. Maybe the other 2 were great, too. But I never read the books and by the 3rd one I'd had enough.

Reading the books definitely helps pull you in and helps you appreciate what they accomplished. Tolkien built this incredible fantasy world so detailed that most thought it was impossible to make into a movie. And yet Jackson and his people pretty pulled it off really, really well. Even if there are still Tolkien purists who have issues with the films. Just incredible imo.

But yeah, they are very long movies and not all the story will be enjoyed by everyone.
