Two movies in my "Elite" class. REALLY hard to not vote for FMJ, but Field of Dreams is that special.

Heck, I wrote my college admission essay about that movie...

Fargo was just such an awesome collision between white bread "hiya hon" suburban/rural life with stupid and remorseless criminality, all caused by the pitiful loser played so brilliantly by William H Macy. The creepy, delusional guy who wanted to get it on with the pregnant cop was also a guy we've all known and wanted to stay the hell away from...great flick that is funny and horrifying at the same time.
"What the fuck happened here?"
"Uh, she started shrieking, ya know. She wouldn't stop..."
"Jeezus...well, it don't matter."

"I GOT SHOT IN THE FUCKING FACE!!!"

This is the most wide open category so far.

Fargo is my personal fav but I went Field of Dream because I think it's a little better movie.

Like I said, I cant fault any vote for FMJ. It is one of the greatest movies ever made.

The problem is that once they get out of Basic Training, the movie gets kinda meh (over-statement, I know).

Field of Dreams is a great baseball movie, a great family movie, a great redemption movie, a great father/son movie... And that James Earl Jones speech about what baseball means? OMG, are you serious??

Greatest.
Movie-speech.
Ever!

A Few Good Men (on my F list) would beg to differ! Jack Nicholson's rant after the infamous, "you can't handle the truth!" kicks ass!

It pales in comparison to Basic Training which is just amazing but it's still good.

Here are some great scenes where I only have to quote from part II

"Me so HORNY. Me love you long time."

"You talk the talk. Do you walk the walk?"

"it's a huge shit sandwich, and we're all gonna have to take a bite."

"I wanted to see exotic Vietnam... the crown jewel of Southeast Asia. I wanted to meet interesting and stimulating people of an ancient culture... and kill them."

Forbidden Planet is one of my favorite sci-fi movies and there's nothing wrong with a Fish Called Wanda, Fiddler on the Roof or Fantasia either.

That's how stacked this letter is.
