Royals about to win their 10th straight.

Nice to see Vargas on a team that can succeed.

They have bombed Verlander and Scherzer on consecutive days. The M's will have their hands full this weekend.

it was actually "only" their 9th in a row. my mistake.

they're now in 1st place in their division.

that's 2 clubs now at the tops of their divisions that started rebuilding around when the m's did. nice to see it paying dividends for them.

Read yesterday that the Red Sox are about to cut ties with Grady Sizemore, I know his hitting has been brutal since 10' and injuries always seem to find him, but do you give his agent a call????

Ill pass. He is somewhat comparable to Ackley in terms of what his role would be on the team in terms of a platoon outfielder. His numbers are worse then Ackley's across the board, and that's playing in a hitters park too. For as bad as Ackley is his SLG% is 40 points higher, his WAR is .4 compared to Sizemores -.4. Plus the chances of him getting hurt again is way higher then Ackley. So no thanks.

Agreed. I like Sizemore and I think he still has the heart, but his body is all used up.

Now it's 10 in a row for the Royals. Two games in a row where they scored 10+ runs followed by a game where they won 2-1. They're winning every way. Fun to watch.

As for Sizemore, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see the M's go after a nobody cast off by a Red Sox team that's a shadow of what it was last year. "Not good enough for the Sox" is still better than Romero, Morrison, and in many ways Ackley. What a tremendous joke.

A's just got their 5th walk off win of the year.

Beat the Red Sox in the bottom of the 10th. Just a great, great team.

I'd really like to see them and the Royals in the ALCS at the end, but I don't get what I want very often.

A's just kept coming back again and again today trying to get the sweep over the Sox.

Big Poopy hit one out in the 10th to get the winning run, though.

Final guy to bat for the A's was Sean Doolittle, a pitcher in his first MLB at bat. It was that kind of day for the A's. Derek Norris got hit really hard in the head by a Sox player's backswing, and had to come out of the game.

But the Mariners suck and they are garbage despite sweeping the Royals. Right, Superfan?

The Angels really beat up on Darvish. Texas just a shambles of what it was supposed to be this year thanks to injuries.

Timmy Lincecum just threw a no hitter. Still enjoy watching him pitch when he's on.

Mr Noesi was shutting out the Orioles through 7 but then was yanked after a couple of hits in the 8th. Nelly Cruz ended up hitting the game tying Grand Slam later in the inning.

So the A's agreed to stay in Oakland for 10 more years and are hoping to get a new stadium. The problem though is the best site seems to be on the site of the current home, "O.Co-My God there's shit everywhere!" Coliseum.

Let's say that pile of crap gets leveled and they start building a new place. If they can't build it in 6 months start to finish, would the A's share AT&T Park with SF? I guess that would be their only option.

I'd love to go watch the hopefully great by then M's play at AT&T park. I've heard it's really nice.

Shame on Robin Ventura for wasting a pitcher then. Noesi excels at giving up big home runs. :noidea:

The good news is the M's are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

The bad news is the A's and Angels are also 7-3 in their last 10 games. Looks like the trio of Trout, Hamilton and Pujols is finally click and paying dividends for them. Their issue will be pitching for sure. Richards has been great for them but I think he will encounter the same issue as Elias with the innings limit if Im not mistaken. The A's are just the A's.

The Dodgers with Dan Haren and two relievers just one hit the Indians tonight in a 1-0 win. That means the Indians have been 1 hit in consecutive games and been involved in a 1 hitter in 3 straight games. That is a somewhat cool stat that I bet has not happened very often.
