Astros clobbering the Angels tonight - I think the Astros are going to overtake the Rangers for the AL West crown, they are loaded with talent now that they are healthy and the addition of Verlander is huge. I think the Astros are the favorites to go to World Series in the AL now, I think they are slightly better than the Rangers. No one from the Central is going anywhere in the playoffs, and in the East the O’s have been a nice surprise but I don’t think they can make the World Series with the team they have, the Rays have fallen off the map, and the Jays just aren’t consistent enough.

I think the Astros are content with not having Correas contract for inconsistent slightly better production. So this isnt anything in regards to their current situation.

But Jeremy Pena when just looking at him as a player, this dude is pretty fucking rancid. Hes still 25 so theres time. But wooooof. Everytime I watch him.

He got off to a hot start last year and then was admittingly elite in the playoffs(when it matters). But for most of last year and all of this year hes been baaaaaad. No plate discipline.

They're 20-14 since the ASB which is a higher winning percentage than in the first half, but the Mariners are 25-11 since the ASB and they're 32-13 since the beginning of July. Astros are also 21-14 since the break. Astros have always kinda been within striking distance, but the Mariners have made up a lot of ground. They were 10 games back on July 19th, and now they're just 2 back.
