With the salary cap at $70, I don't think they need to include anyone in the Hibbert trade and still be able to fit in Williams. I wouldn't mind seeing Swaggy in the deal though which would give them a few more million to play with.

I agree. I'd like to keep Kelly for another couple of years though. Get rid of Swaggy and Sacre.

It is being reported that the Hibbert deal is for cash and a future second rounder. No other players involved. Straight salary dump by Indiana.

The Swaggy era lives on :pound:

We'd have to pay someone to take Swaggy off our hands lol.

3 year deal for Brown with a team option on the 3rd year. Not bad for a second rounder. The Lakers must really like how he's looking so far.

Interesting that they signed him before the Hibbert trade. Eric Pincus is saying that potentially leaves them with their $2.8mil room exception to work with as long as Hibbert waives his trade kicker.

Byron indicating that Kobe will likely slide to the 3 this season. Good news for the growth of the young back court combo of Russell and Clarkson. They'll be starting.

Hibbert has officially signed.

All it took was a future 2nd round pick!

Yep, everyone that left is not coming back and everyone that has been traded for has been signed. So we lose Lin, Boozer (hasn't signed with anyone but there is now no room at the inn), Wes Johnson, and keep Kelly, Swaggy, Sacre, and all of the youngsters. No word on where Price and Ellington are going.

And we still have our mid-level exception at $2.8 million if needed. I think we have everything all filled up.

As a second rounder, his annual salary should be pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme...

Ellington ended up with the Nets if you're curious
