How are you not getting one rooting for a team that should be a rival, as in conference nutswinging, while the other was only 'rooting' for UW because he was rooting against a conference rival, as in not a nutswinger.

I mean this seems rather simple to me, but maybe I'm just better at math.

In the ending analysis, this game doesn't hurt Washington's chances at the playoffs, provided they don't lose another game. It was competitive and in a not so neutral site. As an added bonus, it was a dandy game.
