This version hasn't gotten me roped in to the point that I need to watch it as it airs, but I'll still catch up on demand.

With two young kids, there is only one show that is a must watch during airing, Game of Thrones. Everything else has become on demand or DVR when my wife and I get a chance to watch/binge. So it's not necessarily 24's issue, but my own. Kids are great, but also a pain sometimes, haha.

I enjoyed it overall. Wasn't the best season but definitely wasn't the worst either. It's one of those shows where if it gets renewed, I'll definitely watch it but if it gets cancelled, I am not going to lose sleep over it either. I still miss Jack Bauer and his "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR!?!?!?" tirades.

It was OK. It amazes me that the ultimate bad guy thinks his daughter is dead but he is actually 5 minutes away from her. The Christmas break on
Designated Survivor really screwed me up. I was confusing the two shows. I'm sure Bauer had something to do with it.

It did leave an opening though. Not sure about Carter and his wife/gf.

I thought it was pretty good and hope it comes back. There were plenty of stupid parts but that is no different than how the show ever was.

The 12 hour format fits so much better than 24 hours.

Keifer should have kept this role and not play the president on ABC. But he did executive produce it so he may be given a bigger offer to star in it next time around.

There was a CIA field operative called Kate Morgan who was introduced in the last season of 24. With her as a direct link to the last Jack Bauer storyline, I'm surprised the producers thought they needed to start from scratch with a new character.

Even "starting from scratch"... it just felt like "I've seen all this before". And the cast wasn't interesting... even McRaney. That was my problem with it and why I cancelled my DVR recording.

I wish they just stayed in the same office. I know they were going for the CSI deal of all the different cities, but to only have Tony tied to the last series the way he was, just was not enough. I think the wife should have gone back with the brother and it would have gotten more interesting.

Might be a goofy question but is CTU the key part of the show or is the real time element the key. Or both? Because it's always at CTU they repeat themselves a lot? Could they do a real time story unrelated to CTU?

That's why you really have to tip your hat to Vince Gilligan and the "Better Call Saul" kids. Not only did they not mess up the fabric of "Breaking Bad"... they may have actually added to it.
