I have never seen mocks so all over the board. There is almost no consensus on any player going to anywhere other than 1st pick. I see JJ going from 2 to like 19. Verse in top 8 or falling to us at 29. Starting to see mocks of Nabers going before MHJ due to his possible attitude issues and refusing to workout. This year is gonna be awesome from pick 2 on
Definitely one the better drafts in a while. O-line is stacked with talent. QB as well obviously.

I dont understand how you could think any pick was too early for a WR. We literally have 1 WR on the whole roster that has any sort of consistency. We're quite literally counting on a guy that is in his third season and has totaled 18 games with 10 starts and 25 total catches. There is an actual need at WR in the best case scenario where JaMo does improve, and whoever fills that spot will need to see the field from day 1. We could trade up for a WR and it still wouldn't be too early.

I'm not necessarily looking for a WR on day 1 or anything, but nothing would surprise me. I've got like 8-10 guys heavy on my radar for round 1, after tat its wide open.
I would be OK if certain WRs were still there at 29 that should have been gone in the top 15. We definitely need help there. I expect we wait for round 2 though. Maybe Leggette.

Sorry to hear that. Is it the site or the Lions?
Not enjoying it, I can't make mild criticism of any Lions call without being viewed as the ultimate hater by some. I can't post a years-old mock draft that I thought was awesome without it being somehow viewed as a dig for an argument that never happened. I don't feel this forum is a decent spot for Lions talk anymore.

Blue has been a bit jumpy since coming back. Near death experiences can do that to a person. I know first hand.

You on any other Lions sites? I dont really know of any others that are all that active. I will still be here but I wouldnt mind seeing what else is out there.

I like Leggette or Keon Coleman a lot. Kind of rounds out our WR corps with a tall jumpy range of catch type guy. But there's several that are all grouped together from about the 30-80 overall picks. Worthy could be the speedy the Williams was supposed to be. And having both of them together.... McConkey or whatever his name is. The white boy with the catch of the year from Florida, Pearsal? Lots of guys I like.

In the first I haven't seen it mentioned, but I'm starting to really like Edgerin Cooper at LB. Guy looks good in coverage. Pair him with Campbell from last year.

Fiske has been my guy all along, but Reader signing makes him just a rotation guy or a strong stack end.

Any of the 2 position O Linemen. A Tackle that can play guard like Sumataia or whatever his name is. Or any of the Center/guards.

And obviously CB is still the dream. Finding the right guy for the system and falling to a spot where he has value. DeJean out of Iowa looks good to me, but either of the Alabama guys have Sabans stamp of approval and years of being coached.

Just so many directions. I'm sure they'll still manage to catch me by surprise though

You have gotten really good at this. Or whoever you are drafting against is not as good.

These would all be stellar.
I keep all rules strict, no force trades and all within the draft pick points matrix. I dabble with smart trades that make sense. I wish there was a system to play human emotion because one of these drafts had a stud oline and I tried to trade the 2 early 2s of carolina to move up for my 29 and nothing worked

I like this a lot. Pretty much what I am looking to do too. Not sure Dejean fits our scheme other than to do the same things Branch already does.

I am looking at just a mock without a trade as they hardly ever happen.

Something like:

1-C JPJ
2-WR Leggette
3-DE Trice
5-S Vaki
Hard to look too deep but We will need a CB and 2nd O-line later. I like G Sumataia and maybe CB Bishop(MO)
Then a Kicker. Another LB.

That should say (WV) not (MO). Anywhere here he is.

Kicker on MI Panthers made a 64 yd FG at Ford Field. With distance to spare. Not sur how straight he can kick though. He only did kickoffs in college. I would still rather draft one.
said the kicker had,nt kicked since before his.that is really odd

The Lions could use another Jason Hanson - consistency at the kicker position for a very long time. Doubt if they find their guy in the draft this year. Might need to see how creative the personnel department can get to find a kicker either in another league or from another sport.
