@Old Lion will be happy knowing Romeo Okwara retired. Maybe simply not being employed by Lions was enough for Old Lion.

I don't think he ever recovered fully from the Achilles injury plus he had a secondary surgery to clean up the first one.

Obviously didnt want the post surgery Romeo. He was not the same player and he was getting paid a lot. We still could use another edge guy too.

Should be plenty of Lions staff at the Michigan Pro Day today. The talking heads are focused on JJ, but I‘m most interested in how well Mike Sainristil does. The transition from receiver to cornerback last year seemed to be a great move. Might be sneaky good for the Lions to get later in the draft.

They did that with their center too. Dude never played center in his life but did pretty well.

I went back to our old Mock draft thread from years ago, I think everyone should see what @Gulf of Brazil pulled out of that thing.

Shazier went somewhere in the first round. but i cannot remember exactly which draft slot/

2023 Center, Nugent, played Center at Standford prior to transferring to U of M.
2022 Center was Oluwatami and he had prior experience albeit minimal at Center before transferring to U of M

Sainristil transitioned to nickel CB in spring of 2022 and started both 2022 and 2023 seasons at that position.
