Our picks so far going into next year

1

7

Had two #3's traded on away in the draft this year for Moss. Not sure if we traded away our own or the one we got from the Saints in the Payton trade.

Wouldn't it be something if the Cardinals got the #1 and 2 pick next year since they have the Texans first rounder and ended up with Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison?

Correction.

Our draft picks next year get a little wild.

We have

1

2- Saints have ours

3- We have either ours or the Saints (No longer both in the Riley Moss trade

4- We have the Dolphins (Chubb trade) Jets have our (Jacob Martin Trade)

5- We have ours and the Jets (Jacob Martin trade)

6- We have the Rams (Kenny Young trade) Rams have our (Kenny Young Trade)

7- Our own. Giving us

I suspect prior to the next regular season the Broncos will have WRs who can be traded for picks.

Next draft could be one of the strongest since 2011. I was seeing about 10 guys for next year that probably would’ve gone Top 5 in 2023.

No doubt. The top of the draft is REALLY good next year.

Thing I really liked about this past draft is Denver took players I liked but guys I never really thought they would draft. Nice draft surprises to me. I think Elway was pretty predictable.... I think Paton and Payton are more like the parent who REALLY hides the Christmas present around Christmas time.

We always knew Elway was going to take an underdeveloped, physically gifted CB in Round 3 that was likely to flop and he typically drafted from the guys we were well known to have visited us.

I like how secretive things are with Paton and Payton. I feel like Elway drafted positions and not always BPA. I think Paton and now with Payton working with him we have done much better job of drafting putting need and BPA together. I pretty well have like all of Paton's draft with the exception of last year which it could end up a great draft, just a personal opinion. I trust him. I never trusted Elway in the draft.

Sure Elway's drafting acumen fell off towards the later years as GM, but Elway's roster construction gave us 2 SB appearances and 1 Lombardi Trophy so I can't fault his approach too much.

Right. I think people often overlook that part of Elway a GM. Sure, having Manning here helped him sign a physical defense with proven vets who wanted to play here but Manning did sign Elway and either way he still signed the guys around him. You have to give Elway some credit for what he did here.

He couldn't draft worth a squat but he sure put together a team around Manning that got us another ring.

and for those who say if it wasn't for Manning, Elway wouldn't have brought in those other guys he was able to bring in... Couldn't you say that about most GM's? One move can go a long ways.

I keep pointing this out, but Elway went downhill has a GM when he married the former Raiders cheerleader.

At what point does the talent available at the top of the draft being good become really good at the middle or great at the end?

If Russell Wison bombs we have options. Our luck he will bomb and we will pick about #11.

Is QB and T the top 2 positions as far as quality of talent in 24 draft?
