That is such a bullshit call. Houston needs to advance apparently.

The Mid-Majors and Small schools got annihilated this tournament.

There was hardly any Cinderella upsets of unknown schools. The really small schools got blown out everywhere.

14 of the 16 Sweet Sixteen teams come from the Power Six (The Big East makes it six in basketball vs five in football).

And the other two are National Ranked perennial Contender (Gonzaga)...or a #5 seed that went to the Final Four (SDSU).

We are getting closer to the Big 10 and SEC trying to push out the small fries soon in basketball.

Maybe 10 years.....

:laugh3:

Neither of these conferences are in the Big 12’s league as far as basketball goes and won’t be anytime soon.

It’s no such thing as a Power 6. I remember the AAC tried to pull that crap. The Big East church league is not a Power conference. You saw how many bids they got? They’re a tier below the Mountain West now.

The Big East church league is not a Power conference.

It most definitely is a power league in basketball. Most people consider there to be a Power Six for basketball.
Although technically in basketball, They are called HIGH MAJOR versus MID-MAJOR instead of power conferences.

You could make a strong argument, that the Big East has been the been basketball league of the last 40 years.
It is probably the ACC, but the Big East is no worse than 2nd best.

Villanova, Connecticut, Marquette, Xavier, Georgetown, Providence, Seton Hall, Butler, Creighton.
All of these schools have big time basketball tradition. Almost All of them have appeared in an NCAA Final Four since it expanded in 1985.

Six of the last 12 titles have been Big East teams....and I would not bet against UConn making it 7 for 13.

It was also the #2 conference this year

Behind only the b12

The b12 has been the best Bb conference for a few years running now

Basically since Baylor got really really good

They have a worse tournament record than the BIG just this year lol. And the BIG sucks this year.

Obviously in adding Arizona that's usually an upgrade over losing Texas and OU though.

They've performed well of late. It's hardly a monopoly. Especially if the ACC goes defunct and the BIG and SEC absorb them.

This is a UC fan talking crazy. Kenyon Martin isn't walking through that door

Hell the BIG is adding arguably the most prominent basketball school of all time.

Just a weird take.

The tournament isn’t the best use. It’s such a sss when you have season long data available instead

So in your estimation that was a reasonable take?

It's an absurd premise imo.

And again

Being someone who lives in Cincinnati I know exactly where that mindset comes from

Stupidity.

this is acc country.i,d rather see Duke advance over unc.i truly despise them over everybody.
Despise Unc more than Puke? Don’t see that often. Duke is always the team with punks playing for them playing dirty. Always used to get all the calls

Acc gets least teams In so often or always hosed and again they are representing better than any other major power conference so far.

Big East is 3/3 in the s16 and should’ve gotten more teams in
