We've seen some head scratching trades during the draft, you never know what offer we may get. There is one senario few of us want, a kings ransom with Penix jr as our starter. At least you can surround him with talent and manage games

I'd swap Penix for Nix, but ok with Penix at 23. Ask yourself, is Maye Daniels or lord help us McCarthy a sure thing and worth more than 3 1st round picks. Would you spend that to trade up to get them? If you wouldn't trade up for them, then you have to consider trading down.

I don't think 11, 23 and a 2025 1st is enough for #2. They have already showed their hand and thus Minnesota will either give us what we want or risk settling for plan B at QB.
I'm not sure what else JJ could do to show you he can play.

So you think they are worth 3 #1 picks? Would you spend 3 #1 on any of them? By not trading down you are saying this. Actually saying they are worth more. I don't see it.

We are in control, we dictate what the value of the #2 pick is worth. At the same time, we still need a quarterback, the further we drop down in the 1st round, the lower the talent.

You have to consider the unexpected.
Giants, Jets, Vikings, Broncos, Raiders may all decide to draft a qb if the opportunity presents itself. What if you get 11, 23, and a 2025 1st. You get a LT at 11, thinking you'll get nix at 23. You may get stuck with Penix Jr or imagine him gone too. You've just completely lost the fanbase for some extra picks

Images your #2 pick turns into another Shuler, RG3. Or Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Vince Young, Trey Lance, Sam Darnald.......and many more.

Probably more 1st round QB bust than Superbowl winners not selected in 1st. Surrounding them with talent will elevate them.

I think you are looking at it far too simplistically. The number 2 pick is not the same as a late first round pick. Yes…an elite QB is worth more than 3 late first rounders.

, RG3, Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Vince Young, Trey Lance, Sam Darnald were all considered elite franchises QBs

i think the cbs article said we could get 4 1st round pick if we trade with the Viks. The swap and 3 extra firsts.
