To a spot that drafting JJ makes sense if you want him
Where is that at? Cardinals and Chargers don't need to trade with us. What if the Giants take JJ at 6?

That's what I'm saying. If JJ is their guy it's shaping up to where they would have to draft him at 2. I'm not advocating they do that. The draft is a month away, but if sure looks like JJ could go to the Giants or Vikings at 6.

Maye was asked to do more and be more for his team, which he did in 2022.

Jayden's running ability and defenses having to gameplan for that and maybe even spy him is what gives him a high ceiling imo. Jayden is the only player in FBS history that has 12,000 passing yards and 3,000 rushing yards. 40tds to 4int in the SEC isnt bad.

I'm not saying JJ couldn't have done what Drake and Jayden did, it's just that we don't know for sure because he wasn't asked to.

I'm sure scouts can break down tape and determine that, but it's still the unknown vs. what we've seen.

JJ has passed Drake on a bunch of boards and mocks. Brady was a 6th round draft choice. Maybe JJ's ceiling is higher and the scouts know this, hence him moving up.
Thanks for explaining. Pretty much what I expected you to say.

As mentioned I am not going to be argumentative whether it is Maye, Daniels or McCarthy. As you have said many times "we need them to get this right." I am tired of the bust QBs in Washington.

Saying what you expected me to say. Not sure if that's a backhanded compliment or not. Oh well. I tried.

LOL, no ... not a back handed compliment at all. You have good insight and one of the guys I pay close attention to what you say.

I think the things that stand out most to others is Daniels ability to run, Maye's first year and I think a lot think JJ isn't as good as them is Harbaugh didn't have to pass the ball 40+ times a game.

In today's NFL the drop back only QB is in the Smithsonian. So then what kind of mobile QB do you want? Daniels he may run a lot or a Maye or McCarthy who can run but might look to extend a play a little more.

I've been watching a lot of tape on JJ after the report of Peters flying down to have dinner with him. Kid definitely has some wheels on him and does keep his eyes down field.

That's one of the things that I like about Caleb the most. Caleb is always looking to extend the play with the intention to pass. DBs usually lose track of receivers after about four seconds or so. Appreciate the kind words. Lol

People who speak of upside regarding QB, where did you have Tom Brady topping out at?

I have been scared off of JD at 2 because of the arm strength and continually under throwing guys 45 yards down field. The NFL is far different.

200 draft, big draft for a Penn State fan ... Lavar and Courtney Brown. I remember Warwick from FSU too. That's about it. I would not have expected a lot out of Brady .... watched him play in the Big 10.
