Vic Beasley, a guy I wanted last year be4 he went back to school, up to 246 lbs gets 35 reps at 225 with a 4.53 40 ... incredible. Not great vs the run, but this kid may be a 10+ sack per year guy. I'd rather have Fowler because he's great all around ... but Beasley can be a hired assassin as a pass rusher.

I wouldn't rule out the Jags as a possible trade partner. If the Titans take Leonard Williams, I could see the Jags looking at some trade down options. They need as many picks as possible.

It seems likely that Tampa will take Williams, Tennessee will take Williams, so I agree that the Jags will be intriguing, but they may go Gregory. The Raiders will most likely go for White. The Skins? Maybe Fowler. The Jets? I think Mariota. So, whatever the BPA is there for us, we could realistically have a shot at some of these: La'El Collins; Shaq Thompson; Marcus Peters; Jaelen Strong; or Ereck Flowers, to name a few.

Preston Smith looked good in the drills but I can't ever recall watching him play.
Right now I am on the M. Peters bandwagon. I know he's had some anger issues but if he can be harnessed then that is who I want at #20 (for now anyway).

I'm still early in process with DBs but I'm a fan of PJ Williams

I don't know if PJ Williams is a good match for our scheme ... he's more of a cover 2 guy where we're more of a man scheme. The only 2 Corners I would even consider in Rd 1 are Peters and Waynes in that order. I'm hoping we take care of Corner in free agency.

Preston Smith looked solid in the drills ... just not sure where he would fit in a 3-4 scheme.

Bud Dupree with a 42" Vert and a 4.57 40 at 6'4" 270 lbs ... that's explosive! Talked about him on the draft thread ... not sure why there isn't more hype on him. Yet another potential player at 20 for us.

Perryman stumbled a bit on his 40 and ran a 4.81. I think he may run better in his 2nd try.

Shaq Thompson with a 4.72 ... slower than I expected. Plays faster which usually means good instincts.

That is a bad time for him if he is being projected to safety.

4.81 again for Perryman. Mayock says he's often not even in the game in coverage packages. I think he's really good at finding the ball and being in the right places, but I'm starting to think he'll go later than I originally thought when you consider his size to speed numbers. Kendricks on the other hand is a 3 down Back and put up very athletic combine #'s. I'd take Perryman in Rd 2 regardless.

Perhaps a jack of all trades, but master of none??

Mychal was like a 4.5 40. No doubt Mychal is the better athlete, but I think Eric was a better college player. The question, as I have said before, is whether he is the Casey Matthews or Kendricks brothers, or athletic enough to translate to the NFL. He looks athletic enough. He may be a first rounder for the simple reason that few LBs can cover like him and that's becoming important.

Or Jaelen Collins in rd 2, even if we have to trade up?

I am anxious to see the DBs run. Right now, I'm leaning to trade back in order to get a few studs on D, unless Chip can swing a trade for MM, without giving away the farm. We need to come away this offseason with studs at S, 2 CBs, ILB, OLB, WR, and OL. Free agency will be critical, to put it mildly.

I think Collins winds up being the second CB taken, in the first round.

Not able to watch today, how is Mike Hull from Penn State doing? I still think he would be an excellent compliment to Kendricks in the middle and could be had 3rd or 4th round
