Keg Curls? Now doesn't that beat all!
Don't get me wrong Retro, as you know I do love me a good cold one....

Heck I fell in love with beer before I fell is love with me wife...

Here I am caught on the Kiss Cam at the ball game and so I just went with my first love...

On another note, we took her car to the ballgame that day and I had to take a taxi to get home...

Houston we have a problem! Looks like our sixth round pick, Bud Sasser has a heart condition that several opinions independently confirmed and have not cleared him to play. Sasser got $113 thousand and change to sign his rookie contract only come to find that his heart problem is extensive. We just spent over a 100 grand just for a guy to show up and take a physical. Damn, I think I want some of that Kroneke action! The Rams are going to cut him today. Here's the ESPN link.

St. Louis Rams to cut rookie WR Bud Sasser due to heart condition

Lets be thankful Rams doctors might have saved the young kid's life by flagging this health issue rather than whether or not he is getting cut from the Rams roster. Retro, will we get a supplemental draft pick for this or do we just take the hit? If I remember correctly, there is some kind of compensation.

Sasser should've never been picked.... it was an awful attempt at working on the WR Core and how do they not know that he can't play?

Now the question is do we go out and get a veteran wide receiver like Robert Meacham, Donnie Avery or a James Jones to fill the void. After all, we don't yet know if Brian Quick is going to be 100 percent by week one. We need to act now before there isn't an option.

Also because of the fact that there isn't really room in our WR Core for another project... we already have like 4 players on a make-or-break season

The pick was questionable in the first place, there were better prospects still on the board, now this...

How does something like this not come out before the draft? Seems to be a pretty serious condition, how did it not show up at the combine or personal workouts or a routine physical? Yet another wasted pick, which we cannot afford anymore.

Yea, good points by everyone-TEB, Red Chaos, Longtime, SJ76, and Icefreeze. It is clear that at least with this pick, Snisher did not do their due diligence. Sasser's condition is significant enough he may need surgery and he may never play again at least from what I have read. That was a major blunder. We shall see if some of this begins to creep into the other picks or not. I think they did well with the O-lineman but as SJ76 and some others have stated, we may have been doing some reaching a round or two. Only time will tell at this juncture.

I like Gurley and Havenstein a lot.

I think they panicked because of the OTs in the draft and because they have holes in the Oline overall.

Yea SJ76. I agree on those two. They may have reached an extra round on Havenstein. The real value guys are Wichmann and Hagar. Wichmann is a nasty dude and Hagar will stick you a little bit like those LBs we have in the secondary in MacDonald, McCleod, and the dude from Tampa whose name escapes me.

I like the late round OG from the west coast too. Wichmann? Some people say you can't be perfect.

But I want to kill the draft and it was there for the killin! :)

Yep, Fresno State dude, Wichmann. 6-6, 319lb and he will knock you into next week. Right now they have Brown and Havenstein starting on the right side. The center position is a fight between Jones, Barnes, and Rhaney from last year. We shall see if Donnal and Wichmann make a dent. Apparently Washington may end-up as a back-up again.

I agree and we had the opportunities to really hit several pitches out of the park. We shall see if we did, but the Sasser pick was a major whiff at this point.

We can only hope that Wichmann and Brown will fight for a starting position and elevate their game. Someone is going to have to step up to make this Oline good.

Pass blocking IMO could be an issue. But I'd rather have these guys than some overpaid vets on the downside of their career.

I totally agree, SJ76. We are not going to go wrong with either Wichmann or Brown at RG with Havenstein at RT. Our O-line just got much bigger and way more nastier because it is obvious Fisher is going to run the ball and control the game with a smashmouth defense. Foles is going to be the perfect guy for this new O-line and all those RBs we have are going to love the traincars they are going to have in front of them.
