With Higgins and Chase - the TE is a nice want, but it's just not a need. Now, I say that knowing there are, currently, 0 TE's signed...that will change. While having a really good TE is a nice luxury - it's just that currently - a luxury. That's not to say if Bowers falls to 18, there isn't some intrigue there...

But, in reality - it's hard to rank these without seeing F/A hit first. If they sign a TE in F/A, and not an OT, you can almost bet the 1st pick is going to be an OT.

If they sign TE and OT in F/A...then DT becomes a possibility.

And on and on it goes...

trade up, pick bowers, keep him long term. Joe B will make him a pro bowler.

I think you take best OT or DT available. Both positions are important even if you sign guys in FA. If there is a run on offensive tackles, I don't want to reach to fill a hole. Just take a DT and move on. If the run goes in the opposite direction, same idea..... If Bowers drops to you, and you filled spots in FA, you consider it, but it makes harder from a roster building standpoint.

I think it all just depends on how the draft falls. If we do a little work in FA, I don't think the draft is an issue and you take best available to make sure the quality of players you are selecting are high, instead of reaching for need.

I could see them looking to fill that OT need in F/A. There are a few out there, if the Bengals are willing to deal.

If not - you shore up where you can, and hit the draft and go from there.
