He never made much of a move back to the ball. He should have moved towards the ball to make it look more obvious. Open really has nothing to do with it. But he needed to make a stronger move to the ball.

Only because the Pats were on the bad end of it. Switch the teams' positions, and it's an afterthought.

That play at the end of the game was uncatchable - Gronk never got open enough to be even considered a catchable ball

As I said, how is this any difference than a ball sailing 10+ yards over a receiver's head when contacts were made and they RARELY pick up the flag once it's thrown?

I agree if they don't throw the flag we probably don't even see the replay of Gronk being mugged. They screwed up by throwing the flag

Tackled ??? Not hardly. Gronk made no attempt to move towards the ball. He should have. I thought it was a PI or possibly holding fwiw. But Gronk just sort of let himself get run off the play. He didn't help himself there is all I'm saying.

He did. But the contact was initiated well before the ball arrived and moved Gronk further from where he was than the ball was from that same spot.

I need to see it going in real time. The replay they showed at the end was slowed down and it didnt look like he had a chance.

Yes it should have. It was an awful no call.

The Patriots didn't deserve this win, but Gronk was literally within arms length of where the ball was intercepted when the contact was initiated.

Yeah. It wasn't exactly a hail Mary but PI in the end zone happens a lot on a final pass play and is rarely called.
