I guess the Football Gods were more motivated to help McCoy keep his job tonight. Let's get the boys home, get some white pants on and deliver a little pain moving forward.

C'mon man, you don't really mean this. It's like you're saying the Broncos can't win on the road...that's not even close to being true. Everyone knows I'm a Pats fan, but the Broncos keep me interested in football when the Pats aren't in front of me.

Take it from someone without emotional attachment.........I think the Broncos have a QB problem. And they created it. Siemian got off to a fast start and got hurt. Bring in the rookie Lynch and he finishes a game and doesn't look bad doing it. Along come the Falcons and Siemian is on the sideline and Lynch is expected to come in and win. Coaching staff should have had him "manage" the game, not try to win it. One week later he's basically replaced by Siemian as if the staff is saying...."You can't do it." What happens if Siemian gets taken down on that shoulder again and is out for 5-6 weeks. How much confidence would anyone expect Lynch to have? They should have started Lynch last night. OC should have gone up to him and said, "You had a tough week last week, but we think you're the guy to bring us back." If he can't do it, bring in Siemian. Siemian gets a confidence boost and Lynch realizes he has a way to go before he's ready. Then again, he might have come in and turned on the torches and burned the Chargers alive.

NFL is a copy cat league. Everyone will be studying the hell out of the Falcons and the Chargers defense against the Broncos offense and what their offenses were doing that was successful. Broncos have 13 days to lace 'em up and get their mojo back. Coaching staff needs to put a few new wrinkles on both sides of the ball.

It's only week 6.

All alone in first place.....it's a nice feeling.
Can't wait for the showdown between the Silver & Black and Broncos. For first place.

By that time it may not be for 1st place with the way Denver is playing. It can't score. If the Oline play does not improve Denver will be a .500 team only because it got out to a 4-0 start.

Teams will be lining up to play Denver if what happened last night is the norm.

Every single Olineman had a penalty last night. 8 in total on offense.

Must be nice to have top notch QB play. Our QB may have been injured but quickly checking down to the R for 6 yards on 3rd and 12 when DT and Saunders open at the 1st down marker is rather frustrating.

I really think Max Garcia is not smart enough to play G in the NFL. JMO.
Be interesting to see what transactions ,if any, occur over the next 10 days.

You guys have the Texans and Chargers next. Damn, you play SD twice in 3 weeks? Before you play us KC? Weird scheduling.

It's coming down tp Oakland vs Den for the West. KC and SD will be fighting to stay out of last place imo.

The defense touts itself as of the best so man up and stop giving up 10 minute drives and 7 points to start games.
Doesn't really matter they have the 5th best scoring D when 10 is all the other team needs to boat race this offense. At least help out your anemic offense not forcing their hand so quickly.

I did get excited when CJ scored because it would have meant our D would have a chance to make a play late.

Just going to sum up this O-line on one play. The safety. Denver had 5 vs 3 rushers and had to hold. You can make all the excuses you want. Totally unacceptable. Hopefully these guys can find some pride in their responsibility to their teammates and grow some. Okung was great signing.

I keep thinking back to that first drive where if Siemian puts just a little more air under the ball then Sanders is gonna walk in. I said right then and there that's gonna come back to bite us in the ass, and sure enough.....

Well that was mostly because he was hurried and if he didn't throw it then he would've been sacked. Not saying he wasn't at fault for some of the game but that play wasn't his fault.

When the Chargers fire Mike McCoy which we all know will happen this season we should bring him back as our Offensive Coordinator.

I know Kubiak loves Dennison but I think McCoy could really help us.

I don't know McCoy will get fired. This is year 4 and they've made the playoffs once, finished 9-7 but out of the playoffs once, then fell apart at 4-12 and now 2-4. But this year they've been close in so many games. Maybe last night's game was a season saver for them and for McCoy. Especially since they've had the injuries they've had. I still think they can reach 7-9 or 8-8. If McCoy gets fired for a finish like that in a division like this, the Chargers deserve to go on a run of futility that'll rival the Browns and Raiders.

And...if you watch play again he wasn't able to follow thru with throw because the pocket was getting pushed back....again.

The defense can't play poor at all to start games because this team can not score points on offense at this time. This is not an offense that is at it's best being down that quick. The defense has to basically dominate to win games. There has to be a way to slow down the other teams tight ends and RB's out of the backfield. Don't see how something like that just doesn't improve. T.J. Ward right now is basically useless in coverage. He bitches and moans every times he gives up some yards to the refs but the guy is just to slow. Yes he can hit but he couldn't even cover my son. As for the offense the whole o line is a joke. I never seen an o line have so much trouble with basic stunts by a d line. With out a solid running game PA doesn't work and some bootlegs don't work. All I know is when it's 3rd and 10 and you throw a pass to Phillips for 5 yards that shows the issues this offense is having. That holding I believe on Okung on C.J.'s TD basically blew any chance of a come back. Is it possible for D.T. to go multiple games with out a drop or fumble? Nothing deep at all. There best shot was Sanders deep early in the game. 3-2 isn't terrible but they way they are playing now I wouldn't say it's that good at all but I said 10-6 in the beginning of the year and sticking with it. Hopefully we see improvement with some extra time before the next game. Peace.

Dennison loves calling plays designed for 5 yds on first down when you actually are in a 3rd and 10 situation. He needs to go. His calls are too predictable. On first two series of game and in 4th qtr when Denver is behind, he opens up playbook. In between he is way to conservative and predictable. Easy to game plan for for opposing DC's. No disguising imagination.

Maybe the Broncos shouldn't defer when they win the toss. Maybe put the offense out first, at least for home games.

ILbers were exposed again this time with 3 TEs in the middle of the field
Even McCluster abused the Lbers but it was called back
If Denver wants to stay in man (I think they will) this could be an issue all year with current personnel
Hunter Henry a high 2nd round pick looked damn good so yeah Denver could draft a TE in the first assuming late 1 since they have to over draft 1/2 round sitting at the bottom of the 1st round or use some draft capital to move up in the 2nd

I understand he was under pressure, but that throw could've been made. Hell, it was almost there.

I was surprised at how easily the Chargers moved the ball on that vaunted Denver defense.

Knew losing Malik would be tough but Elway didn't have a lot of choice considering other signings like Sanders, etc. Although I loved Trev, I thought Marshall,Nelson and co. would minimize that loss. What I did undervalue with Trevor, was his instincts, reads, football IQ that these guys lack....so far. I believe Nelson has more speed than Trev but he doesn't have the instincts. Trev knew how to box off the rbs coming out of backfield, push them to the boundary, just keep himself in best position possible to defend. We're missing those qualities in Marshall and Nelson. Truly, truly underestimated what Trev really brought in till h

I'm surprised you posted this. 178 yds passing by Rivers and less than a 100 rushing for SD offense. Yeah, " easily ".

I had metioned this before the game a couple pages back, Given the struggles of the defense on 1st drives and our anemic offense maybe they should try to get a lead. Getting 2 back to back opportunists before and after the half has not worked out for the team. At least with the 1st drive, you have a small element of surprise before the DC adjust.

SD kinda went into a shell after getting up by 2 scores. Hard to tell in the 2nd half what a true test of offense vs defense would be like. Had that TD not been called back, then you would see the Denver D against the SD O in crunch time. That would have been a great battle.

94 yards on 27 carries with a long of 49
Meaning 26 other carries for 46 yards. Not good.

If Denver could find an average running game it opens up the pass game.
