Day to Day
I guess the Football Gods were more motivated to help McCoy keep his job tonight. Let's get the boys home, get some white pants on and deliver a little pain moving forward.
C'mon man, you don't really mean this. It's like you're saying the Broncos can't win on the road...that's not even close to being true. Everyone knows I'm a Pats fan, but the Broncos keep me interested in football when the Pats aren't in front of me.
Take it from someone without emotional attachment.........I think the Broncos have a QB problem. And they created it. Siemian got off to a fast start and got hurt. Bring in the rookie Lynch and he finishes a game and doesn't look bad doing it. Along come the Falcons and Siemian is on the sideline and Lynch is expected to come in and win. Coaching staff should have had him "manage" the game, not try to win it. One week later he's basically replaced by Siemian as if the staff is saying...."You can't do it." What happens if Siemian gets taken down on that shoulder again and is out for 5-6 weeks. How much confidence would anyone expect Lynch to have? They should have started Lynch last night. OC should have gone up to him and said, "You had a tough week last week, but we think you're the guy to bring us back." If he can't do it, bring in Siemian. Siemian gets a confidence boost and Lynch realizes he has a way to go before he's ready. Then again, he might have come in and turned on the torches and burned the Chargers alive.
NFL is a copy cat league. Everyone will be studying the hell out of the Falcons and the Chargers defense against the Broncos offense and what their offenses were doing that was successful. Broncos have 13 days to lace 'em up and get their mojo back. Coaching staff needs to put a few new wrinkles on both sides of the ball.
It's only week 6.
