Rangers' Shin-Soo Choo: Out of the lineup Thursday against Athletics
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Choo is out of the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Athletics, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Choo played well in Wednesday's game, going 2-for-3 with a double, a run, and two walks and one strikeout. He'll get a rest day while the Rangersutilize the outfield combination of Nomar Mazara, Ian Desmond and Ryan Rua on Thursday.

I'm not sure I can contribute anything this weekend. May just ignore the whole damn series.

Since Darvish's return May 28th the Rangers are 15-4 and 11-3 in June

But Busby can't just mention something... he has to word salad fumble fuck through a broadcast.

In all my many years I've never heard such a phrase before. Like it though.

It brought to mind the line outta Good Morning Vietnam from Forrest Whitaker. "Sir, I'm not sure what that means, but the tone seems pretty negative." Something like that anyway. Pretty funny.

Find our record since DDJ was sent down...

That's a good and valid question.

But it should be noted, who among us thought it was even conceivable Ian Desmond could do what he's doing? Including our front office and on field management team.

Defensively (DRS) with team leader(s)
C: +1 (T-12th; Holyday +2)
1B: +4 (4th; Moreland +4)
2B: -3 (T-22nd; Profar +1)
3B: +7 (T-4th; Beltre +7)
SS: +5 (T-7th; Alberto +4, Andrus + 1) Kinda surprised on this one
RF: 0 (T-14th; Mazara +2)
CF: -1 (T-17th; Desmond +1)
LF: +5 (T-6th; Desmond & Mazara +2)

I'd say overall the defense has been pretty solid, and it seems as if CF has been solidified

Some didnt think he would be good in LF, much less as good as he's been in CF

Really hope Mazara will snap out of his funk soon. I'm not worried about him. Just ebbs and flows. I haven't noticed him being pitched a specific way, have any of you?

As soon as he showed early prowess in LF, I had the feeling DDJ's days were numbered in CF.

Dude is a really good athlete, hope he keeps hitting

IMO it wasn't what Desmond did do in LF which lead to DDJ's demise. DDJ took it all upon himself.

I was having to listen to the game while on the plane back home. But it seemed like he may have had some hard hit balls that were outs.

DDJ did a lot of stupid things that caused him to be sent down. Base running mistakes and doing things at the plate such as bunting in situations that it was obvious that should not have been done. I think he lacks some baseball IQ whereas I think Desmond has a high baseball IQ.

Good to have Beltre back. Sounded like he just missed getting 4 hits and a couple more RBIs.
