As long as we win the WS I don't care how many regular season wins we get.

That would be another "something", something else alright. I would be the happiest fucker on the planet for 2 years probably

A ranger World Series would mean at least as much as an OU football NC for me.

Got the NC out of the way in Jan of 06', my Cowboys have their championships, Stars and Mavs got theirs, just need the Rangers to get it done now

Rangers' Derek Holland: Hit hard in Wednesday no-decision
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

. Since that point, he's surrendered 35 hits, 33 runs (31 earned) and eight homers, while seeing his ERA rise to a bloated 5.14. He'll look to reverse course when he takes on the Orioles next Monday.

LOL.

I said holland wasn't going to the pen, but he might be playing himself out of a spot real soon if Griffin and Darvish get healthy. Like I said, things have a way of working themselves out but he's not doing himself any favors.

I think losing Woods next game will hurt more.

Those bats are likely to light him up like a freaking Xmas tree, but hey maybe he figures something out, just don't have any faith in Derek these days

Remember Holland is the guy that will look like shit and then when everyone is about to give up on him he will throw a couple of gems in a row.

He has all the talent in the world, but another one of those guys that someone is just going to have to completely give up on him before he figures out that he can't fart his way through the MLB.

So true. But his fastball is definitely down in velocity and his breaking pitches are bleh.

Not sure the reason but he doesn't look near the same this year as he has in the past. His velocity is down a bit and his change up has very little tilt. When he has the most trouble is when he can't keep the ball down which is much more often than I ever remember, this year. He used to have a pretty good slider but he isn't using it much this season either. I have no explanation for it, but it is clearly confusing him too, as he looks lost at times out there

I was wondering what you meant by that. Holland gave what two or three good innings and fell apart going through the order a second time? Sounds like a very good candidate for long relief. He can work on his change up every day in the pen.

I did like seeing him get angry yesterday, whether he was mad at Jeff or himself. Kid gloves need to be off here. I think he needs to feel some heat and not be coddled at all. If he gets it in his head he isn't going to just be handed a spot in the rotation, maybe he will get angry enough to figure it out. He seemed to respond best when Wash came to the mound and got on his ass, Jeff and the coaching staff need to ride his ass, til he figures it out!

He's 29 now. Gotta have figured it out by now. Just don't think he's going to age too gracefully. Not too many years left in him. Can't all be like Lewis. Another big decision in the off season along with Fielder and Elvis.

He can still make adjustments and get better, but until he does and if there is someone performing better and more deserving of his rotation spot, they should be pitching his starts. Not ready to write him off, but he's pitching like a 5th starter, that used to have TORP stuff. He draws so much angst because of his ability and people's expectations. He just isn't getting it done enough consistently at this point in time.

Cobra deserves a raise

I am fairly sure he has some pretty good incentives in his contract for performance and achieving certain targets, but he's pitching like 18-20 mill a year guy for the most part at the moment. He will never get that because of his injury history and his age but his performance the last couple years could earn him a multi year deal for a pretty big increase in salary. Someone will pay him well if he can keep this up, and remains healthy. Heck, I think Bartolo is 43. Can Colby pitch that long, doubtful w his injury history, but he still probably has a couple more good years in him
