Stafford used to throw for 300+ yards, a couple scores, and a couple picks in the kinds of games (losing all game long) games we've played this season. Because of this dink and dunk style he is still generating tons of attempts but they only go for 5 yards a pop. Consequently we go 10 plays for 50 yards and the drive ends (penalty/sack/fumble/int) before we even get into the red zone. You can live with the picks if Stafford is moving the ball 12+ yards per pass like he did under Linehan.

Stafford needs to score before the Lions make a critical mistake. Linehan understood that.

Most atrocious of all is the running game. It is pitiful. They don't even block screens well.

Lombardi is a disaster. 22 games is enough time to tell he sucks. The offense is much worse in year two. The only time the offense works is when Stafford is in hurry up and more or less free wheeling.

I apologize Mr. linehan.

@Rob you do realize even with Linehan the Lions still lost and many times because of Matt. He had a lot garbage stats and people love 5000+ yards in a loosing season for some screwed up reason.

Throwing a shitty pass in triple coverage and one of the greatest WR's bails you out is not signs of even a good QB.

You do realize that-that 5,000+ yards had 41 td's attached to it, right? And Calvin only had 16 of those? With 16 int's, 5 fumbles and 36 sacks?

I realize that defenses play prevent when up by 30, do you? Garbage time stats is what that is.

When a team has thrown for 41 TDs in a season there are only two reasons. One is a playoff team and the other was 4-12 and scored in the 4th qtr while trailing.

Need proof for this^^^statement, exhibit A is Patriots with Brady/Moss SB loss after undefeated regular season. Exhibit B is what you tried to sell me...
