I'll say it again.....none of those guys were highly coveted, or even considered top 10 at their position outside of Adam Taylor. Most ranking sites have these guys as run of the mill players.

Nebraska CLEARLY isn't pulling in great Texas talent, and hasn't for a while now. Listing a few guys here and there does not really prove anything.

Look at their title teams, and the makeup of those rosters, then come here and tell us they're still recruiting Texas well.

there were only 8 players from Texas on the 1997 championship roster.

Were any of them contributors? Starters? Cause all the guys they've taken so far aren't. Back then they were also heavy in Cali recruits as well.

I don't see them pulling in that kind of talent anymore. And I KNOW they aren't getting it from Texas.

So 37% of their recent class os Texas. But it was ridiculous for me to suggest going back there. Even though their getting SOMEthing there with Bo Freakin Pelini.

Know what Horns... Yer real hard to talk to.

Tommy Armstrong = #9 ranked QB (next in line at QB when TMart leaves in 2014)
Charles Jackson = #6 CB (backup safety, backing up senior)
Jamal Turner = #7 QB (now starting WR)

When were they ever going into Texas and consistently pulling top 10 guys more than they are right now? Again, are OU, LSU, Texas A&M and Oregon not big-time programs? Because every one of those guys I mentioned was offered by at least one of them if not more, and that's not including the other big name guys from outside of TX that had big time offers.

Aaron Taylor (O-line) won the Outland and was an All-American. He's the one that stands out. Also our kicker was from Texas. My point is that Texas-born players did not have that big of an impact on our last championship team.

Not until Uncle Tito and Bo go down the road...

:noidea: The way Nebraska fans were carrying on, I thought Nebraska was like 3-4 or 2-5. Then I go look at their record and who they've lost to..

They're 5-2

I guess that's what happens when your team plummets into mediocrity?

LOL, since 2010, Texas and tOSU have 0 conference titles and 0 NC's. Also, both have had 1 losing season in the same time frame.

We had the NCAA smack us down for 1 year where we had no head coach, QB, and lost our LT, starting RB and WR for most of the season. The following season we were clearly the top team in the conference but weren't allowed to win it, though we earned it on the field. We also beat the conference champ both of those years.

What's Texas' excuse?

that's the point. we lost to freaking MINNESOTA, and got blown out by UCLA. the frustration in the fan base is not so much about the record, but how we are losing games. there hasn't been a year recently where we didn't have a blowout loss...and watching the game this weekend left little hope that we will finish the year with a good record. we could easily lose all of our remaining games and end up 5-7 on a schedule that, when it came out, was viewed as the easiest we've had in years.

Awful coaching. Still in the same time frame since you called the Texas program mediocre, tOSU hasn't done shit either in their weak as fuck conference.....

Then I go look at Minnesota's record. They're 6-2. And Minnesota doesn't have any bad losses. It's not like you guys lost to an FCS school. That UCLA loss was kind of bad tho.

on paper it doesn't look that bad if you ignore the whole "it being Minnesota" part. but watching that game, it was clear that we were way outcoached. AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THEIR COACH!

That season didn't even count, so who cares? Again, since 2010 tOSU has not won any conference title or NC's and has had 1 losing season just like Texas has.

tOSU: 18-8 since 2010 (vacated wins excluded, they were really 30-8)-Winning pct: .69231 (.78947)
Texas: 22-16 since 2010-Winning pct: .57895

LOL, thanks for proving my point.

Also, for our queer from Texas (he ain't no steer), we're currently ranked 4th in the nation while you're ranked....?

LOL at a Texas fan calling the B1G "weak as fuck". Fucking Baylor is the premier program in your conference. Baylor.
