Quit checking me out.
I recently just started smoking my own ribs and stuff. I'm actually pretty good at it, not that it's exactly hard. I've been using some grillmate pork rub for my rub, and honestly I like it. I wanted to start out with store bought rub until I got my cooking down right, limit the variables and all that. I would keep using the rub, but it contains this silicon crap that I do not want to eat at all to keep it from clumping or something.
Right now I'm looking at this recipe, unless someone knows one better.
A Carolina BBQ Rub - Recipe
A few notes:
I do not like hot. I like spicy, but I do not like hot - AT ALL. I like to taste my food without punishing my mouth. I don't even eat jalapenos.
And I'm not that big a fan of sweet either. A little bit is ok, but I don't want it to be overpowering.
Need it before the this weekend!
