Yea I still think they are a top 4 team in the Big 10 and have a good chance to be in the Big 10 Championship game, they can run the ball there defense is pretty solid, one of the things about us is we were suppose to be better in stopping the run and when they ran up the middle we stuffed it, but when they did that mid direction stuff it caught us off guard and Wisconsin was able to run all the way it seems like they were running away from Sutton and our secondary on the end made some bone head plays, but Stanford doesn't do those Jet sweeps like Wisconsin does they run it up the middle which should go to our advantage.

There's no question, they are probably top 3 (I'd put them ahead of both Nebraska and Michigan for sure). Their game vs. NW will be interesting as it comes the week after the game in Columbus, which is going to be a hell of a fight. Wisconsin always gives us their best. Same can be said for ASU in the PAC. I'd say it's Oregon, and then the group of ASU/UCLA/Stanford, with any of those 3 having the capabilities to beat the others. In the end, I think it comes down to Oregon vs. ASU in the PAC12 CCG. Stanford's running game is nowhere near the level Wisconsin's is, so I'm looking forward to that game you have with them. Should be a good one.

Why the fuck was my post deleted? It's okay to blatantly troll but not okay to show someone how much of an ass they're being?

You think everyone is trolling because they disagree with you on this game that was played.

What is trolling is running around in every thread saying you refuse to accept the loss, and that you won blah blah blah. Thats trolling.

Plus wishing death on players, fanbases and coaches as a couple of you morons have done is simply idiotic.

Alright, these Pretender UW fans are getting out of hand.

I'm officially making this my last post in this thread. Have fun Smart! haha

Not pretending to be anything. I am the fan of a 2-0 UW team. No mystery which one that is.

Silly wisky fan. Not only can't your team execute a simple kneel down play and hand the ball to the umpire, you can't quit a thread right either. :L

Link? I've never wished death on anybody. The only thing you could possibly cite is a joke I made about DayMan. which has since been deleted. And to the best of my knowledge he isn't a player, coach, or fanbase.

Any other lies you want to make up?

But then the game ends on a controversial play, in which your quarterback didn't do what he should have done, something that is common practice in that situation, and all of the sudden no blame is on your team for blowing the game.

Even had Stave made a mistake, it is so inconsequential that it doesn't even deserve to be spoken of.
It's like blaming a kid for not wearing neon after a drunk driver runs a red light and runs him down in a crosswalk. It's a "mistake" which was completely unforeseeable and could only happen after someone else breaks the rule, and even then would have played a minimal role in the event.

Would you tell the family of the run down kid that it was partially his fault because he should have worn neon? Of course not. So why the hell do you think it is acceptable here?

You said it was "way too early" to call JJ the best defensive player in the league after his two best weeks in a DPOY year. It wasn't...he was te best defensive player in the league. I was wrong about Russell, and i'm sorry I put words in your mouth. But there is a big difference between being wrong on one item of a laundry list based on year-old arguments and being 0/3 with regards to posts made yesterday. And I already apologized, which is probably more than i'll get.

Well. After taking Sunday to calm down, and coming back here, I've realized a couple of things.

1. Washington fans adamantly claiming that the refs made NO mistakes on that play, and carrying the argument without conceding to the very defensible claim by Wisconsin fans that the zebras should have been able to sort out the situation.... You're just being stubborn, argumentative Pac12 homers. Even the ASU fans took a break before you jackasses.

2. That play does actually start with Stave being weird. This is a problem that we have had with our quarterbacks and players for a long time. Even Wilson and Konz, who for all intents and purposes were two of the smartest players in college football during their senior year, could have made CERTAIN that the officials couldn't screw up their last few seconds during the Rose Bowl. To some extent, Stave choked. He should have kneeled down, waited for the whistle, and given the ball to the zebra. The offensive line should have been headed for the line of scrimmage, and Stave should have been yelling at that zebra to clear the ball instead of trying to herd his apparently very confused offense to the line. But again. That starts with him kneeling and popping up and making everyone think that he just gave Sutton the ball.

3. This game is over. It ruined my Saturday because I stayed up until 1 to watch it and missed out on some sexy time. I feel like they've become a joke overnight, and I'm worried that it will effect Andersen's recruiting.

4. But I have bigger problems with this game. Kenzel Doe was acting like a high-school freshman returning kicks. If you can't see the ball, wave it off and RUN AWAY FROM IT. Guy scares me. Offensive Line might be the worst we've had since before Joe Thomas and Kraig Urbik showed up with those squads. Sojourn Shelton needs to stop whining to the refs and get ready for the next play.

Because you always say stupid shit.

UW 7 Rose Bowl wins
UWannabeCheeseheads 3
You're aware that the Big Ten didn't allow its teams to play in bowl games for about 40 years while you guys racked up those wins, right?

This line has performed much better than last year's line.

Washington fans arent saying their was no error. We just disagree with rude wisconsin fans having a hissy fit everytime someone doesnt agree with their perception.

You lost the game. It was horribly reffed throughout. You act like no one else have ever experienced this. Hell we overcame the homer B1G refs in Illinois this week, and won.

It's what winners do.

I agree the line is better than last year's. A more experienced center might have been helpful on Saturday though.

Shelton had a couple of what GA called "freshman moments", but he's obviously talented and hopefully will improve through the season.

1. I think it's really funny that you just said, "It's what winners do." We would know more about that than you. Washington hasn't been a winner since like 1991.

2. Is that how I'm acting? I recall just being upset in general. I could rehash the whole thread, but I was going to ignore you guys in general until you started acting like assholes about it. And it isn't just that you disagreed. You're practically the only ones who DO disagree. It's funny. Sad. Annoying. And you're either blind, trolling, or stupid. That's my opinion, and for the most part all I did was argue the actual facts until you started taking shots at "Wisconsin Fans" as a whole. Upset about this post? Cry me a river.

Again, you were playing Illinois.

Take a look at Wisconsin and Washington's records over the past couple decades and tell me again what winners do.

It's difficult to tell if you cheeseheads are just trolling or really are sincerely stupid. Because you say the dumbest shit, over and over.

You're aware that Purdue, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota are all in the B1G right?

Thats who UW beat. Michigan x2 and Iowa x2.

Now, I honestly feel that this whole charade of a game has exposed cheesehead fans for a classless uneducated lot lacking in football knowledge.

Good day.

Not his fault the refs weren't paying attention. He took a knee, something QBs do hundreds of times a year across football, and you don't see refs screw up like this. His job is to guide his team to FG range and set the kicker up, and the officials' job is to pay attention and not monumentally screw up like they did.

If his knee hit the ground, it was very fast. They could have missed it. He should have stayed with the ball with his knee on the ground. With the amount of time left on the clock, this was a risky play. The video at regular speed dosen't really show the QB with his knee on the ground. If it occurred, it happened real fast. That's why the refs could have missed it.

I could tell that he touched his knee plain as day. It also doesn't matter if he touched it or not....he made the motion of kneeling and that is just as good as fully kneeling (which he did and is even more apparent in that picture). The source of the argument is no longer in whether or not his knee touched the ground.

The source of the argument is indeed about the knee. The still photo is a fraction of a second in time. The refs did not get that pic e-mailed to them. Watching the video I could not see his knee touch the ground. Just placing the ball on the ground caused the ASU players to think it was a fumble. That's the problem.

It looks pretty clear to me. Wisky got robbed.

Sucks to set up the play in the middle of the field and refs don't get it right.

He kneeled. No doubt. But it's in the books.

The butthurt is strong in this thread.

Watch the video for yourself. Even the announcer is yelling about how the official doesn't spot the ball, and you can see the official putting his hand up, holding up play, until the clock says :00. You can also clearly see that immediately after Stave gets back up from on one knee, the offensive line is up and ready to snap the ball again with :12 left, which is when all of the ASU players begin jumping on the ball. The officials clearly whistled the play dead, but did nothing at all when the ASU players were laying on the ball, and continued letting the clock run off while not allowing Wisconsin to snap the ball, ensuring they would not have a chance to get a kick attempt in. Also, if you notice, an official was standing just to the left of the screen. Given the screenshot that has shown how clearly Stave had his knee down, there's no excuse for this official not being able to see this, so there goes that excuse.

Bizarre ending to Wisconsin-Arizona State - YouTube

The announcer is also saying he didn't take a knee. No one really saw him take a knee. Even if pics later confirm it, you can see why the refs and ASU reacted the way they did. This is more on the QB than the refs.
