I will take the over. Ware wore out T Smith yesterday for what would have been 2 more sacks, after getting 3 off him in practice a few days ago. Smith hasn't regressed. Ware has been getting all his sacks while dropping into coverage half the time. He's gonna be a beast at DE as a pass rusher, I think he gets 20 if healthy, which will help our secondary a ton

Under.

The man's a beast, but I think the every day grind will wear on him over the course of the season. It's ruff in the trenches. He's a great player, but I go with the under.

I think you're right about it being rough in the trenches Jonvi, Ware staying healthy is going to be the big issue. I think he is gonna see a ton of TE doubleteams and RB chips on top of that. Spencer has to be able to beat a single tackle. That's one reason I would have drafted S Floyd, putting a quick DT capable of pressure in the middle would only help Ware

I haven't a clue what to expect from spencer. Hard to predict stats for a player who's confirmed he doesn't bust ass every play.

I think Dallas will be better at taking the football away through a pressure scheme. I think Hatcher will be the guy that makes a large contribution.

I'll take the under. I'm thinking about 12.5 is what to expect. With the switch, I bet he is spending more time working on staying home and containing instead of trying to race upfield every down.

Dallas will rotate players in and out. Maybe we get 6 different guys with 7 plus sacks

That scares me with our lack of depth on the DL though.

I think that's where our offense could dictate a lot of what's done by our D. I think there's no question the optimum for Dallas would be to get an early lead and unleash the pass rush in a similar fashion to Freeney and Mathis a few years back. However, if we are playing from behind, I could see us getting wore down by bigger teams running the ball

I agree about the depth on paper.
Gotta trust our new defensive coaches and their eye for talent here.

be it right or wrong.....Dallas took a center and pretty much remained fine with what they had in fold for both lines. I think these guys watched a lot of tape and think they can get players from this bunch.

the season is counting on it

I see Ware 12.5. If we can get 7.5 from spencer that would be great. Ratliff is good for 2. Hatcher is good for 4. I can see Scandrick getting 2.5 and if we can get about 5 or 6 combined from Lee and Carter. and maybe another 4 from the rest of the team that would be a solid year.

Ah it doesn't matter, he's overrated, we'd be better off cutting him, RG3 made him look foolish, he can't stop the run, all you need to do is throw to where he was since he can't cover...

But seriously, I'll go over. I could see him getting in the 16-20 range assuming people stay healthy. Curious to see if he can still get off the line and jump the snap as well in the 4-3.

I care way more about QB pressures than sacks.

Bingo, cause just like Romo most QB for example both the Peyton brothers, Schaub, Rivers, Brees, heck all of them turnovers go way up when under pressure:agree:

Yea, Ware gets his share of bone headed offsides, etc., at critical times when we have had the offense stopped and having to punt. The only time Ware shows up at critical and crucial moments is to lend his hand in a penalty. Other wise most of his sacks comes when the game is already decided, not when it matters most.

BJJ, I know you're a Cowboys fan, which is why its strange to see you get after Ware. Along with Witten, they are the 2 guys on this team that are all time Cowboys. Like Witten, the only time Ware doesn't produce is when he's out there gutting it up on one arm or one leg. Both Guys are top 10 Cowboys ever IMO. What more do you want from the Guy?

go back and look at some of those bone headed offsides a little closer in slo motion and I believe you will find that the ref got it wrong a bunch because he cant believe that Ware is that quick on the ball.

This was pointed out last year on 1 of the game day broadcasts cant remember which game.

Ware makes mistakes but he makes more plays than mistakes and to compare him to Hollywood Henderson in another thread is a joke Henderson was good but cant carry Wares helmet IMHO
