You just aged yourself there, kid. Seriously, why don't you watch some NBA Hardwood Classics sometime and expand your horizons? There's a whole world of basketball players that you obviously don't know about.

Wow, is it unfair the Lakers take all the centers? and I am going big like you read about...

1 Big O...CURRY/Pippen
2 MJ/Kobe/Wade
3 LBJ/Bird/Barkley
4 Bill Russell/Tim Duncan
5 Hakeem/Robinson

I am not saying Curry is the 2nd best PG but I want some floor spacing

Since I didn't start watching basketball until Magic hit the scene you are probably right. I never saw some people in their prime. Doesnt change the fact that my team would mop any team you could put together from the Lakers.

I honestly left him out too at first but it was an accident...added him in. If we were building for a season or decade I would leave him off.

David Robinson as an all-time great center? Over Wilt and Kareem. Anyone can respect Hakeem in that position but as much as I like David Robinson, he'd get owned by the all-time greats.

Probably but Wilt and Kareem both played for the Lakers...unless because they played on other teams we can still use them?

Dammit, I keep forgetting what this thread is about. Which goes to illustrate just how much the Lakers have dominated the bigs.

I watched some yesterday.

1983 Finals, game 4. Sixers complete the sweep of the Lakers. Sixers go 12-1 in the postseason.

The Lakers were swept because three of their top 5 players were hobbled. The Lakers without their starting lineup were still the second best team in the league. Moses and Dr. J really peaked then. My Dad took me to see both of these teams in Atlanta at the Omni in '83 and I got my pic standing about 10' away from Magic before the game. I remember Chocolate Thunder doing 360's during warmups and wowing the crowd.

In fact if the Lakers are going with

Magic
Kobe
Worthy
Shaq
Kareem,

I counter with
Lebron P.G
MJ
Bird
Duncan
Hakeem...

Now that's 2 helluva starting 5's going at each other.

Moses Malone > The Big Fundamental
Clyde the Glide > Pippen

With Jordan in your lineup, I'd start Bird over Lebron. He was a much more fundamentally sound basketball player.

Yeah, Lebron would need to guard Magic. I love Oscar the matchup is bad.

Lebron at PG. Bird at SF like sman had. You have to start Lebron, he is too valuable.

That's nonsense. Why would you force Lebron to play PG with Jordan on the floor instead of someone like Oscar or Stockton? With MJ, Lebron becomes very dispensable. I'd play MJ 42 mins and let Lebron play the last two minutes of each quarter.

Also, why is no one giving any respect to The Mailman? He'd mop the floor with Pippen.
