What makes this a bad trade for the Braves is swapping Prado for Johnson

The Dbacks have Matt Davidson about a year away and Prado will just be a stopgap, while also getting Delgado and a fairly well thought of SS prospect in Ahmed, insurance in case Gregorius doesn't pan out

Its not the Mariners offer, but oh well, its not as bad as y'all are making it out to be

Olt is better alone as the main piece than prado is. Even though prado had a very good year last year.

If counting years of guaranteed control...then yes. 6>1

But if they extend Prado, then Prado is proven (and hits for a high average).

Yeah but prado was a 3-4 war player before last year. So hes a good player but not as good as upton can be. But in terms of control olt is a lot better option.

Randall Delgado is the x-factor I think, he had a decent year last year in his first year of starting and has an excellent GB% and strikes out a good number of guys as well

If I was Arizona, I'd have held out for Teheran but he had his own issues last year, but definitely has a higher potential ceiling

For Arizona if the deal is Prado, Delgado and Ahmed Perez vs Olt and Perez, at this point I go with Atlanta, b/c Prado is proven, and especially if they think they can extend him, not to mention if Matt Davidson takes over 3B, and Prado moves to LF when Kubel's contract is up

If Prado leaves via FA, its a lot less rosy for the D-Backs, but they still have 2 solid to good SS prospects to choose from and can deal the other when the time is right

They also got Brandon Drury who was an up and coming 3B prospect in the Braves system, but was expendable due to more advanced 3B prospects being ahead of him

I'd give Bourn a 3 year deal at 12 to 14 per. If he wants more he can forget it. Lohse doesn't fit what the Rangers need in their rotation. He's a control pitcher. The Rangers need a power arm.

And Bourn doesn't really improve on what Gentry and Martin will do in CF to justify the dollars or the draft pick
