Saying Mahomes is GOAT is living in the moment. He has a long way to go. I can appreciate greatness-he is a winner.

I can agree he is projected to be GOAT.

A lot of factors into the GOAT conversation.

Different eras. Brady played most of his career in a league where you could play defense and the QB's had a reason to be afraid. Now it is a paradise. That is a huge difference.

Pushing eras aside, what is extremely impressive about Brady is he had no mobility. Makes a huge difference in the grand scheme of things over a very long career.

Also, what other elite QB's are in the league right now let alone in the AFC. There is only one Mahomes---maybe Allen.
Lamar is a RB playing QB. Allen projects to be more of a Phillip Rivers type of career. Herbert is just a talented guy that can't win. Rodgers is at the end of his career. Same with Wilson and Stafford

Brady played against so many more elite/great QB's and he was two plays away from possibly winning 9 SB's.

Big Ben, Brees, Manning, Rodgers (prime), Stafford (prime), Wilson (prime), Luck, Warner...he beat a young Mahomes twice.

It will be interesting to see how long Reid is coach. If he stays with Mahomes for most of his career there are a lot of future SB's.

I don't think Mahomes needs 7 or 8 SB wins to pass Brady bc the eye test matters but a big factor is Brady beat him head to head at the age of 40. Mahomes is on a great projection to win a ton of SB's but you just never know. The only big thing in his favor is there are no elite QB's right now. I guess Allen is the one guy but he can not get over the hump.

Obviously that is what I mean.

If he retired today, then no.

But hard to see him not surpassing Brady in my eyes anyway. Because he will play 10+ years and has a lot of winning still to do. Even without more Super Bowl victories, it will be close.

Well, that’s really soft and gay. This is a mindset for middle school athletics. The Niners are led by a coach who is widely seen as as an offensive genius. He shit the bed again last night. He’s 0-3 in Super Bowls as head coach or offensive coordinator and in all 3 he’s blown double digit leads. Pro sports is for Big Boys. By every measure, the Niners had the better team, they had a lead in the game, for much of the contest they won the battle on the line of scrimmage. They absolutely choked.

Anyways as far I Know the OT rules it's flat-out both teams get a possession. If the team with the ball scores a TD or fg then the other team has to at least match it. In that case it's sudden death afterwards...

The weird part to me is that the period isn't limited to 15 min. Last night's OT would've continued to a 2nd quarter if the Chiefs' drive wasn't over yet. That seems excessive and unnecessary.

You give them the ball first and if they score first then you tell your offense, we are going for 2 no matter what because last thing you want is the ball with Mahomes in a sudden death scenario. 49ers coaching staff did not prepare for OT

I have no issue with it since this is only for the playoffs. Why should you allow a team to possibly have a 10 minute drive and because my drive isn't complete in 5 minutes I should lose?
