Watch the muscle completely ball up at the top of his calf. That's what happens when the tendon completely tears or is detached from the bone.

His heel appeared to get stuck in the famed Meadowlands turf. On grass, he's likely back up and stays in the game. The replay shows his calf suddenly balling up when his heel got stuck, clear achilles injury.
