He also measured 5'10 which is 2 inches shorter than his listed height.

Josh Allen in college:

View attachment 322619

Note the 56% per centage the two years he was starting.
what about the rest of those stats? they are bad, not just bad but almost bottom of the barrel.

the fact is, very few QBs have done well in the NFL after failing to break 60% completion percentage in college.

His pro day will be telling. If he kills it let another team draft him.
Ideally, Richardson and Young get taken ahead of the Seahawk's pick and the Bears and Cardinals go with D with their picks leaving the Seahawks to choose between Shroud and Levy ( Shroud should be the choice) and if some team blows them away with an offer they could consider trading down ( I rather they didn't do that, but if the offer is fantastic.....maybe).

Hawks take Stroud if he's available but I feel he'll be off the board with Young. That leaves us with Richardson and Levis so teams like the Raiders, Panthers and the Tuddy's are still in play for a trade back. Atlanta as well.

A lot of draft guys are linking Levy to the Colts but who really knows? Pro day, meetings and interviews will change the order possibly.

I hope they do draft Levis and Stroud falls to our pick

Josh Allen is certainly the exception to the rule. But I also think that he is an overhyped QB.

I would say he is a little overhyped 100% for sure. But I will also say there is a reason he is over hyped and he backs it up often. Yes he isn't say as consistent yet at a level you would wish for but he is close and will only continue to get better.

I am loving the building hype on Will Levis & Anthony Richardson. It would be a boon for the Hawks if both go in the top 5, but I would even settle for 1 of 2; it wouldn't surprise me that much if Levis ends up #1 overall if Chicago trades out.

The off-field toe stub by Jalen Carter might work to our advantage as well. I don't think it will drop him to the 2nd or 3rd round or anything, but I'm much more confident he will still be there at #5 now. Misdemeanor car racing doesn't ward me off from him all that much. Who here didn't do something just as serious in their early 20s? Hell, Geno Smith got a DUI a year ago where he reportedly was driving 96 mph and threatened the cops when stopped/arrested and still had the team's vote of confidence as QB1. And this is not me saying what the team should or shouldn't do as much as it is understanding that the incident alone probably doesn't scare them away from the player.

I think he is a good QB. But I personally but him in the 2nd tier of QBs. He has incredible arm talent. But he makes a lot of dumb decisions.

This would be a draft I could get behind.

Brugler has us being able to draft Carter. And then taking Smith-Njigba with #20. Not my preferred choice but the way his mock plays out, I could see it happening as he has Wilson, Murphy, Van Ness, Nolan Smith and Kancey all taken before our #20.

I think to many people are writing off Tune and O'Connell as QB's in this draft. Had they came out last year they could have been drafted in the first or second rounds lol These guys have very high ceilings.

Both these guys have all the talent to play good controlled ball field manager type QB's and thats what we need. Geno takes to many risks and last season he was very lucky he didn't lead the league in turnovers. I think both will become better QB's than Geno but then again I also think they have all the talent Lock has and then some. They just don't have and didn't get the exposure some other guys got. Heck McKee might fall into the 3rd if you believe 50% of the mocks and he is also a nice QB with large upside.

God i wish the Hawks would have thrown a 2nd rounder at the Jags this offseason for Trevor Lawrence. I knew he was going to turn it around big time after his possible "bust status" first year.

Getting Carter and VanNess in the 1st round would be an absolute home run. I would also be fine with Murphy instead of Van Ness. Probably lean more toward Murphy as what we need is someone who can rush from the strong side and won't lose the point of attack. With Van Ness/Murphy, Carter, Harris, and one Taylor/Nwosu on the edge that would be pretty fantastic.
