maybe they can convince Pete to step own as HC and stay on as Executive VP of Football Operations, bring in harbaugh to run the offense and fangio to run the defense.

i know, borderline treasonous but it would be a big splash which is what this team needs

Sounding like Pete isn't going anywhere. Not what I was hoping to see, but I am not freaking out about stuff I can't control. If we run it back with PC & Russ, I sure as hell hope we are aggressive with all this cap $. The line was "better" at the end of the season, and we need to invest more there to keep it that way. Need to add an "extra meeting" guy on the DL if at all possible, hopefully a pass rusher.

Because that is essentially what they have been saying for a decade now, win or lose. It is a standard on-brand PC message.

We won't have a lot of cap space to sign our own players, doubtful we go out and make any big FA signings.

I'll be most disappointed if Norton is back. The rest I can live with. It's simply unacceptable to have to rely on a bad defense "figuring it out" most of the way through the season year after year.

Geno arrested due to a DUI... Pretty much ends his run here in Seattle as having the easiest job in the NFL for several years...

Well Pete and JS are staying but not sure about the coordinators. Think the pressure to do something is on and don’t think RW is going anywhere so what then? Listening to questions thrown at Pete he knows next season needs to be much better.

Does it really matter if we replace Norton with some other DC? It's still Pete's defense. It hasn't really changed whether we had Guy, Dan, Kris or Ken as DC. Just the players on the field has changed.

It's going to be the same next year whether we have Norton or not. The only real difference will be that Dunlap will be a year older and maybe not on the team.

Dunlap is yet another on the enigma list. Disappears most of the year only to kick butt down the stretch. But I can't see moving on from him next year because there would be a $5.6 million dead money cap hit. It would probably be better just to play out the contract.

I think he was dealing with injuries. And I think that other guys on the line stepped up and gave him more one on one opportunities.

dunlap was on the radio and he basically said coaches didnt want him to take a lot of snaps, that they had a good track record with older pass rushers getting limited snaps but still producing. he was frustrated about it and said he needed more snaps to get into a rhythm. i dont think it had anything to do with injuries.

Hmmm..........that seems really stupid for a team that struggled getting a consistent pass rush. But it is typical of Pete's inability to adjust when he has a set plan in place. He just rides it out even when things are not going as hoped.

Well this could be another option why not just stay the course because I dont believe RW will be demanding trades out of Seattle this offseason. Given what we have seen from Penny the last 5 games do we trust him maybe as our lead back next season? Honestly we need to figure out this defense with Jamal Adams and Diggs suffering a major injury what this defensive line will look like? I do believe if Russell Wilson didnt get injured that would have made enough difference to be in the running for the playoffs. Sometimes panicking and imploding isnt the button to press.

I am now at the point to where I won't shed a tear of Norton is gone but I am getting very tired of the revolving door known as the Offensive Coordinator.

Given the likely restructuring of several players that number is probably going to be closer to 70 million. Over the cap says that we have 40 million in effective cap space which is the space we would have if we had 51 players signed.

I don't see the team being massive buyers on the FA market but I'm not sure that is necessary anyway.
