It is his skill set too though.

His skill set lends more to being a bad #1 than a good #2.

Putting him off the ball doesn’t allow him to take advantage of the things he does best.

A bad 1? I don't know about all that. And im not a Kyrie guy

Get Ron Harper in there over Kukoc. His defense would be a difference maker.

If the game is reffed like the 90s then Team MJ wins for sure. Today's game is a different story. Rodman and Jordan would have Lebron and Kyrie's heads exploding with trash talk though. It would almost be comical.

I think Lebron wins a tight one with today's refs.

Nah.

Kyrie is literally the 4th option for this time. Probably actually better suited to come off the bench as an instant offense guy.

Team LeBron way too loaded. Which set of rules you play with don’t matter.

The Bulls never faced an equal during their 90s run, let alone a team with considerably more talent.

They never faced an equal because they were really damn good and led by the GOAT. I think you are overlooking just how good that Bulls team would be defensively, especially if they are allowed to hand check and play more physical.

Like I said, I do think LeBron's team does win in today's game, but it absolutely would make a huge difference if the refs let them play. It is a lot harder to adjust to a more physical game when you aren't used to it than the other way around IMO

LeBron is a peer of MJ. MJ never faced anyone close to his equal AND all the superstars from the 90s were spread out across the league except for MJ and Pippen.

They were great.

But the thing is that this team LeBron isn’t all that far behind defensively plus they have a lot more offensive fire power.

Hand checking is so greatly exaggerated in terms of impact on the game it is crazy! A hand check isn’t stopping LeBron.

Coulda-shoulda

The 2004 Lakers should have wiped the floor with the Pistons
The 2011 Heat should have beat the Mavs
The 2013 Spurs should have beat the Heat

Pippen was a tremendous player, but not on the superstar level.
Oh Shaqdaddy.....

Hell of a team....I'd only ask when he played with those guys as too lazy to check. Lebron could add Allen, Shaq, Jamison, Deron Williams, Marion to his bench off top of head.

You can call him a superstar or not. That doesn’t really matter.

You made it sound as if it was close between Pippen and Kyrie. It isn’t.

You said Kyrie would probably be considered better if he accepted a #2 role and that Pippen is overrated.

The difference between the 2 players is that Pippen is a winner. He does the little things to help his team. Kyrie seems to care more about his numbers and his status than he does helping his team win.
Irving's defense isn't even close to Pippen's.

And Love. He'd be sick coming off the bench.

For MJ you could also include George Gervin and Artis Gilmore too.

Oh Shaqdaddy.....

So you're saying Pippen was on the same level as Jordan, Magic, Kareem and Lebron?

How about the next tier down? Kobe, Oscar, Olajuwon, Dr J?

Um...

You act like there is only 1 superstar in the league at a time.

Pippen WAS on par with Ewing, Barkley, etc.

There are multiple superstars in the league today who aren’t in the same tier as LeBron.

No Orlando Woolridge?....but forget that, how is Ricky Davis not on Lebron's squad?

Ricky Davis. Now there's a guy I forgot about. Looked up his stats. Thought he was teammates with LeBron for 3 or 4 years. But he only played 22 games with him his rookie year before being traded to Boston. Also forgot he played for the Celtics.
