I don't grasp it because it is not remotely true. Furthermore, the purpose of rules is to place and advance teams based on which teams best accomplish what the rules in play value for the purpose of determining a winner. The best teams are entitled to nothing unless they beat the lesser teams at the rules of the competition. Sometimes better teams are eliminated earlier in a competition because their results were not good enough.

So then advocate for G5 schools to either be accepted into a P5 conference or drop down to FCS. There is no perfect way to determine who is best because no ones schedule will ever be the same or equal. But beating a 4 loss SEC > beating a 1 loss AAC team. It’s rather elementary my dear Watson.

An undefeated G5 school nearly always is less talented than a 3 loss P5 team. Let alone that argument makes no sense since an undefeated G5 school would go to the playoff over a 3 loss P5 team.
